ICCROTCU | 9TH AND 10TH TRAINING DAY

On 23 November 2025, the Immaculada Conception College ROTC Unit, under the leadership of LTC DARWIN A BORJA (MI) PA, Commandant, conducted its 9th and 10th training days at the ICC Gymnasium.

The morning's agenda kicked off with practical drills and ceremonies. Under the watchful eyes of the training staff, the cadets honed their precision, discipline, and teamwork through complex drill ex*****ons and ceremonial formations. Each command was met with swift, coordinated action, reinforcing the values of unity and precision.

Cpl Julie Ann Dominique P De Leon PA (Res), commenced the Cyber Security Awareness session. The cadets listened intently as Cpl De Leon dissected the anatomy of cyber threats, emphasizing the importance of online safety and basic cyber defense principles. The digital age demanded a new kind of vigilance, and the cadets absorbed every lesson, understanding their role in safeguarding national security in the virtual realm.

Meanwhile, a select group of Cadet Officers and other designated cadets journeyed to St. Clare College of Kalookan (SCCK) to delve into Military History. This additional session ensured a comprehensive understanding of the historical context shaping modern military strategies.

Throughout the day, the advance cadet officers with the support of their Instructors, worked tirelessly to ensure the smooth and organized conduct of all lectures and activities.

As the afternoon sun cast long shadows, LTC ALEXANDER T. QUINALAYO, PA (Res), took the stage for the lecture series. He began with an in-depth exploration of the AFP Mandate, Mission, Function, and Organization, painting a vivid picture of the Armed Forces of the Philippines' strategic purpose and structure. The cadets gained a profound understanding of the AFP's core responsibilities in national defense and security. And then transitioned to Infantry Operations, introducing the cadets to the roles, movement techniques, and operational principles of the infantry. He stressed the importance of discipline, tactical coordination, and mission ex*****on, instilling in them the values that form the backbone of effective military operations.

ICCROTCU | 7th and 8th Training Day

On 16 November 2025, the Immaculada Conception College ROTC unit under the leadership of LTC DARWIN A BORJA (MI) PA,
commandant, conducted its 7th and 8th training days at the ICC gymnasium.

The morning session, start with the batallion formation for checking of the attendance and followed by SSG Allan Paul E Antonio PA (Res), focused on Hygiene and Sanitation, and Basic Life Support. cadets learned the importance of personal cleanliness, emphasizing not only proper hygiene practices but also the potential consequences of various lifestyle choices. Discussions ranged from preventive healthcare to the effects of risky behaviors, including the impact of sexual relations on overall health. The session underscored the significance of responsible decision-making and its direct correlation to their well-being and readiness as future officers.

At afternoon session, the cadets faced a 100-item examination covering all topics taught since day one. This rigorous evaluation tested their understanding and retention of key concepts, ensuring they had grasped the foundational knowledge necessary for their continued training.

The afternoon transitioned into a new area of focus. 2LT NITCHEL B CALDELERO PA (RES) took the lead, instructing the cadets on the Rule of Law and Followership. This session explored the critical role of a follower, emphasizing its contribution to both individual growth and societal progress. Cadets learned the importance of discipline, respect for authority, and the ethical considerations inherent in leadership and followership. The lecture highlighted how a strong understanding of these principles contributes to a cohesive and effective military unit, as well as a well-functioning society. Discussions also touched on the importance of integrity, accountability, and the impact of their actions on the broader community.
