Our young journalists and dedicated advisers have once again demonstrated excellence at the 2026 District Press Conference held at Burgos Central School.

Burgos Central School Conducts TreeTy Planting Activity for a Greener and More Resilient Future

In support of DepEd Order No. 29, s. 2017, Policy Guidelines on the System-Based Approach to Comprehensive Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) in Basic Education, Burgos Central School successfully conducted a Tree Planting Activity (TreeTy) within the school premises.

The activity brought together the school personnel who joined hands in planting fruit-bearing trees as a symbol of their shared commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable development.

This initiative aims to promote environmental conservation, strengthen disaster resilience, and encourage active community participation in protecting and preserving our natural resources. By planting fruit-bearing trees, Burgos Central School continues to support climate change adaptation, enhance the school’s green environment, and create lasting benefits for future generations.

Together, let us continue to nurture nature and build a safer, greener, and more sustainable community.

School-Based Press Conference 2026 Successfully Conducted!

Today, July 18, 2026, Burgos Central School successfully conducted its School-Based Press Conference, providing young campus journalists with an opportunity to showcase their talents, creativity, and journalistic excellence.

The program formally opened with an invocation led by Ms. Michelle A. Corpuz, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem. Ms. Sharon E. Chan warmly welcomed the participants through her opening and welcome remarks, while Gina R. Abucay, EdD, School Principal 2, inspired everyone with her challenge, encouraging the pupils to give their best and uphold the values of responsible journalism.

After the opening program, the facilitators and evaluators conducted an orientation for all participants before proceeding with the different contest events. The activity concluded with the awarding of winners and the closing program, recognizing the outstanding performances of our young journalists.

Congratulations to all the participants for their enthusiasm, dedication, and sportsmanship! Special congratulations to the champions in the different contested events, who will proudly represent Burgos Central School in the District Schools Press Conference on August 8, 2026.

We wish our qualifiers the very best as they continue their journey toward excellence. May you carry with you the spirit of integrity, creativity, and responsible journalism. We are proud of you!
