Today, 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟐𝟖, we proudly celebrate 𝟐𝟒 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 to the youth and community.

On this day, history was made when then Secretary of Education 𝐑𝐚𝐮𝐥 𝐒. 𝐑𝐨𝐜𝐨, together with former DepEd Regional Director 𝐃𝐫. 𝐒𝐨𝐥 𝐅. 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐠𝐚𝐬, formally witnessed and signed the memorandum that led to the official opening of what was then known as Calbayog City High School.

In its early years, the school faced challenges due to limited facilities and the absence of its own site. Through strong collaboration and determination, it temporarily operated within the grounds of TTMIST while waiting for the local government to provide a permanent home. Today, CCNHS proudly stands on a 20,725.38-square-meter campus, housing classrooms and facilities that support diverse academic programs and continue to nurture generations of learners.

From humble beginnings to becoming a pillar of quality education, CCNHS has truly grown into a legacy of excellence—shaping minds, building character, and inspiring dreams.

The HUMSS Family of Calbayog City National High School proudly shares a moment of triumph as our very own HUMSS faculty member, Coach Maam Regina O-Bong together with Co-Coach Ma’am Arnie L. Rono, led the school’s Filipino Radio Broadcasting Team to victory as CHAMPION🏆 in the recently concluded National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) 2026.

Competing at the national level, the team delivered an outstanding performance marked by excellence in communication, critical thinking, and teamwork, earning the highest recognition among the country’s best campus journalists. This achievement reflects not only the students’ dedication and discipline but also the strong mentorship, guidance, and unwavering commitment of their coaches.

This milestone brings great honor to Calbayog City National High School and the entire Calbayog City Division, highlighting the strength of its journalism program and its commitment to nurturing competent, responsible, and globally competitive learners.
