VSIES Conducts Successful State of the Learner Government Address for SY 2025–2026

In compliance with OUOPS Memorandum No. 2023-03, titled Interim Guidelines of the Learner Government Program (LGP), the Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG) of Villa San Isidro Elementary School (VSIES) successfully conducted the State of the Learner Government Address (SOLGA) for the end of School Year 2025–2026.

The SOLGA was held on February 19, 2026, at the VSIES Quadrangle, promptly starting at 3:00 in the afternoon. The activity was attended by the Teacher-In-Charge, faculty members, and learners who gathered to witness the presentation of the Learner Government’s accomplishments during their term of service.

The program formally began with an opening ceremony that set a respectful and celebratory tone for the occasion. The SELG President, Princess Jana M. Reforma, delivered a comprehensive report highlighting the various programs, projects, and initiatives implemented by the officers. These included student-centered activities, leadership development programs, community involvement efforts, and school support services aimed at promoting student welfare, active participation, and holistic development.

Among the notable accomplishments presented were the successful celebration of Buwan ng Wika, Teachers’ Day, and Valentine’s Day. In alignment with the core value MakaDiyos, the Learner Government officers also took the lead in organizing and preparing for the priest’s monthly visits. The officers likewise reflected on the challenges they encountered throughout their term and shared how these experiences strengthened their teamwork, problem-solving skills, and commitment to service.

Overall, the SOLGA effectively documented the meaningful contributions and achievements of the Learner Government, marking the conclusion of their administration with pride, transparency, and renewed inspiration for future student leaders.

As the Supreme Elementary Learner Government concludes its term for School Year 2025–2026, the officers leave behind a legacy of responsible leadership, active service, and genuine commitment to the school community. The SOLGA not only served as a report of accomplishments but also as a testament to what young leaders can achieve through unity, dedication, and heart for service. With gratitude for the support of the school and with hope for the next generation of leaders, the SELG confidently passes the torch—ready to inspire continued excellence in leadership at Villa San Isidro Elementary School.

Ito ay pagkilala sa mahalagang ambag at kultural na kahalagahan nito para sa komunidad ng mga Filipino-Chinese at sa buong bansa.

Villa San Isidro ES Holds Supreme Elementary Learner Government Elections 2026–2027

In compliance with DM-OUSPS-2025, Villa San Isidro Elementary School, through SELG Adviser Clarissa M. Aklan, officially conducted the Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG) Elections from February 2–6, 2026. The initiative provided learners the opportunity to showcase their leadership skills and share their vision for the student body.

Election Kickoff

The program formally opened on February 2, 2026, immediately after the flag ceremony. Adviser Aklan emphasized the importance of student leadership in fostering a positive, inclusive, and collaborative school environment. Qualified learners were encouraged to file their candidacy for available SELG positions.

Candidate Submission and Orientation

On February 3, 2026, aspiring candidates submitted their application forms, parental consent, and introductory profiles to the Commissioner on Electoral Board, Lhotis F. Arandela. Following submission, candidates attended an orientation led by Chief Commissioner Jayson C. Garcia, Teacher-In-Charge, which outlined their duties and responsibilities if elected.

Screening and Validation

Candidates were screened and validated by Commissioner on Screening and Validation Zoila C. Hermina together with Chief Commissioner Garcia. The official list of candidates was then announced, paving the way for the campaign period.

Campaign Period

On the morning of February 5, 2026, candidates conducted room-to-room campaigns, introducing themselves and sharing their platforms. They focused on promoting student welfare, academic support, and improved communication with school administration, while fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.

Adjustments Due to Unforeseen Events

Due to a class suspension caused by an earthquake and inclement weather, the electoral committee held an emergency Meeting de Avance, allowing candidates to present their final statements in a safe designated area. Students were reminded to prioritize safety while the election process was adjusted accordingly.

Voting Day

The elections were rescheduled to February 9, 2026, giving students from Grades 2–5 the opportunity to vote. Clear ballots were provided, with teachers and electoral volunteers assisting younger students. Out of 102 eligible voters from Grades 2–4, 89 students cast their votes, reflecting strong participation and responsible engagement.

Oath Taking Ceremony

The Oath Taking Ceremony for the newly elected SELG officials took place on February 11, 2026, at the school covered court. Officiated by the Teacher-In-Charge, the ceremony highlighted integrity, service, and collaboration. Each official solemnly swore to uphold SELG values for the 2026–2027 school year.

New Leadership

During the ceremony, newly elected SELG President Chynn Jhia S. Ballatan delivered acceptance remarks, reaffirming her commitment to her platform and expressing gratitude for the trust of fellow students. The event concluded with a group photo of all officials, teachers, and the school head, marking the official start of their term in service.

Conclusion

The SELG elections demonstrated the active participation of students and underscored the importance of responsible, engaged, and values-driven student leadership at Villa San Isidro Elementary School.
