As part of promoting cleanliness and orderliness on campus, the Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) conducted a CLAYGO (Clean As You Go) Orientation for the Senior High School students of E. Zobel Foundation, Inc.
The orientation emphasized that CLAYGO should be practiced at all timesโnot only in classrooms, but also in the canteen and other common areas of the school. Every student is expected to take responsibility for maintaining a clean and orderly environment wherever they are on campus.
Students were reminded of the basic CLAYGO practices, including cleaning their area after use, disposing of waste in the proper bins, avoiding leaving messes for others to clean, and taking responsibility for their own waste. They were also encouraged to practice proper waste segregation using the four designated bins available around the campus: biodegradable, non-biodegradable, recyclables, and scratch paper.
To further reinforce the policy, students were informed that failure to comply with the CLAYGO guidelines would result in corresponding disciplinary actions, ranging from verbal warnings to community service and other sanctions depending on the number of violations.
To help students avoid these consequences, they were reminded to observe the following CLAYGO guidelines:

โ๏ธ Practice proper waste segregation.
โ๏ธ Maintain cleanliness in classrooms and common areas.

โ Do not throw waste in the wrong bin.
โ Do not rely on others to clean your mess.
โ Do not leave classrooms or event areas dirty after use.

The orientation concluded with the reminder, โEnvironment is no oneโs property to destroy; itโs everyoneโs responsibility to protect,โ encouraging every student to recognize that caring for the environment is a shared responsibility. By practicing CLAYGO consistently, every member of the school community can help create a cleaner, greener, and more orderly campus.
