Calatagan National High School officially launched Brigada Eskwela 2026 through a Kick-Off Program held on June 1, 2026, carrying the theme βBayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman.βThe event gathered teachers, parents, students, local government unit, community partners, and other stakeholders who came together to prepare the school for the opening of classes and demonstrate their commitment to supporting quality education.
The program commenced with an opening ceremony that highlighted the importance of community participation in ensuring that the school remains a safe, clean, and conducive environment for learning. The presence and active involvement of stakeholders reflected the true spirit of bayanihan, showcasing the collective dedication of the school community toward the welfare and success of every learner.
In his inspirational message, Dr. Philip Adrian Tenorio , school principal, underscored the value of every contribution made during Brigada Eskwela, emphasizing that even the simplest tasks can have a meaningful impact on learners. He shared a heartfelt reflection, saying:
βAs we sweep the floor, we are clearing the path for our learners. As we paint the walls, we are adding colors to their dreams. Sa pagpukpok natin ng pako sa kanilang mga upuan ay binibigyan natin sila ng masasandalan. And this would all be possible if we work together for our learners.β
Dr. Tenorio further stressed that education and the welfare of learners are a shared responsibility among the school, parents, and the community. He emphasized that through unity, cooperation, and a shared vision, stakeholders can help create a safe, nurturing, and effective learning environment for all students.
To further strengthen their commitment, teachers and stakeholders signed the Commitment Wall as a symbol of their unity, support, and dedication to the success of Brigada Eskwela and the learners of the school.
Following the opening program, volunteers immediately participated in various school improvement activities, including classroom cleaning, repair and maintenance of facilities, painting, landscaping, and preparation of learning spaces.
The successful conduct of the Brigada Eskwela 2026 Kick-Off Program highlighted the unwavering commitment of Calatagan National High School and its stakeholders to uphold the spirit of bayanihan in support of quality education. More than a preparatory activity, Brigada Eskwela serves as a powerful reminder that collaboration and shared responsibility are essential in building a strong foundation for learning.
