The Literary Arts contests of PAUGNAT & PASUNDAYAG 2026 brought together student speakers and performers who transformed words into powerful expressions of thought, emotion, creativity, and conviction.

The Literary Arts Contest opened with the a Declamation Category, in which contestants from three delegations—Blazing Falcons, Apex Kraken, and Viridian Serpents—showcased their distinct techniques in conveying the message of their pieces, from their underlying context to their emotional depth.

The room fell into complete silence as each participant delivered their best, captivating the audience with performances of remarkable excellence.

The second day of the PAUGNAT UG PASUNDAYAG 2026 brought another round of fierce competition as BISUans took to different playing grounds, courts, and venues to represent their teams and battle it out.

From intense rallies to hard-fought matches, Day 2 proved that the games are far from over. As athletes continued to give their all, every venue had a story of its own.

Couple 103, Blazing Falcons' Clarence Drew Serundo and Mary Bernadette Elle, emerged triumphant during the Paugnat ug Pasundayag 2026 DanceSport Latin America Category Competition at the Calape Cultural Center and Sports Complex on August 17, 2026.

The bullfight commenced with the parade of couples: Couple 101 from the Fiery Phoenix, Couple 102 of the Valiant Tamaraw, Couple 103 of the Blazing Falcons, and Couple 104 from the Apex Kraken.

The official rankings are as follows: The Falcons placed 1st and won gold, the Tamaraw received silver as the 2nd placer, the Kraken secured bronze as the 3rd placer, and the Phoenix finished as the 4th placer.

The Blazing Falcons not only managed to become champions, they also swayed their way into the judges' hearts, resulting in them receiving all the minor awards, namely: Best in Cha-Cha-Cha, Best in Rumba, and Best in Jive.

𝗣𝗵𝗼𝗲𝗻𝗶𝘅 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝘇𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗙𝗶𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲

Prince Clark Sibuco and Myra Tapia from the Fiery Phoenix team set a fiery dancestorm, ultimately landing them as champions during the Paugnat ug Pasundayag 2026 DanceSport Competition Modern Standard Category at the Calape Cultural Center and Sports Complex on August 17, 2026.

The trophy of victory landed in the palms of Couple 204 from the Fiery Phoenix, followed by Couple 203 of the Blazing Falcons, then Couple 201 of the Viridian Serpent, and Couple 202 from the Valiant Tamaraw.

The minor awards for Best in Tango and Best in Slow Waltz were claimed by the Phoenix's claws. Best in Foxtrot then fell into the Blazing Falcons' grasp.

The stage came alive as BISU Calape Campus showcased Filipino heritage, creativity, and passion through the dance competitions of PAUGNAT & PASUNDAYAG 2026.

Bohol Island State University Calape Campus celebrated Filipino heritage through a Folk Dance Competition participated in by different teams. The performances featured synchronized movements and colorful costumes that showcased both technical excellence and respect for traditions passed down through generations.
