TAKE NOTE, DOST APPLICANTS!๐
A DOST priority program does not automatically mean you can use the scholarship at any university offering that program.
Aside from choosing a priority S&T program, DOST-SEI scholars must also follow the scholarshipโs study placement requirements.
Qualified scholars may generally enroll in the University of the Philippines or State Universities and Colleges offering their chosen priority program.
For private institutions, the rule is more specific. The particular priority S&T program you plan to take must meet DOST-SEIโs required recognition or accreditation, such as being recognized by CHED as a Center of Excellence or Center of Development, or having FAAP Level III accreditation.
This means that even if your chosen program appears on the official DOST priority list, a private university offering that program does not automatically qualify as an approved study placement.
The accreditation of the specific program matters, not simply the name or reputation of the university.
Applicants and future qualifiers are advised to check this before finalizing their college enrollment, especially since program accreditation and recognition may change over time.
So before choosing a school, check both.
Your program must be eligible, and your intended study placement must also meet DOST-SEI requirements.
Applications for the 2027 DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarships are currently ongoing through the official DOST-SEI scholarship portal.
