In the Paragons Awards 2026,

𝐉𝐏𝐈𝐀-𝐃𝐖𝐂𝐂'𝐬 𝐄𝐜𝐨-𝐑𝐮𝐧𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐬𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐬 𝐇𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐰 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝, 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝟕 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐬

Highlighting excellence in non-academic student initiatives and leadership, JPIA-DWCC bagged the Hataw Awardee (1st Place) for Best Local Chapter Activity in Non-Academics with its Eco-Runway project, while also securing seven other finalist spots at Pagdapo: The Paragons Awards 2026.

Competing against 12 local chapter finalists across Region 4 in non-academics, JPIA-DWCC earned top honors under the leadership of Vice President for Non-Academics Cyril Jade E. Lacanlale, President Marielle L. Monterozo, and chapter adviser Leneilyn M. Poblete, CPA.

At its core, the project aimed to champion sustainability by transforming recyclable materials through creativity, turning waste into symbols of innovation and environmental responsibility. In relation, the project is successfully aligned with key UN Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

Additionally, JPIA-DWCC proved its organizational strength by securing seven other project finalist spots across four categories. The chapter earned one finalist placement in Social Responsibility, along with two placements each in Leadership Promotion, Non-Academics, and Academics solidifying its standing among the top local chapters in the region.

Results (Best Local Chapter Activity in Non-Academics):
1st Place (Hataw Awardee): JPIA – Divine Word College of Calapan
2nd Place (Laban Awardee): JPIA – Pamantasan ng Cabuyao
3rd Place (Puso Awardee): JPIA – University of Batangas
