Arte de FEUR: Canvas Painting and Sisidlan โ A Celebration of Young Creators
The campus transformed into a vibrant gallery as the 2nd-year students of Art Appreciation proudly unveiled Arte de FEUR: Canvas Painting and Sisidlan, an exhibit that showcased expressive canvas paintings and imaginative sculptural works. Managed and guided by Prof. Jason Carlos, the event highlighted the studentsโ creativity, dedication, and growing artistic identity.
The program officially began with the Opening Remarks of Dean Victor Tabuzo, setting the tone for a celebration of student artistry.
The exhibit was honored by the presence of special guests: Prof. Mara Llantada, Program Head of BSED and GE; Prof. Dena Culaba, Program Head of ECE and EEd; and SVP Dr. Alma Dela Cruz, Senior Vice President of FEU Roosevelt.
As visitors explored the pieces on display, they encountered canvases filled with story, emotion, and color, alongside Sisidlan sculptures that showcased form, texture, and individuality. Each artwork reflected a unique perspective; some bold and vibrant, others quiet and introspectiv, yet all created with purpose and passion.
More than just a class requirement, Arte de FEUR: Canvas Painting and Sisidlan stood as a testament to the power of imagination and the growth of young artists. Through the guidance of Prof. Jason Carlos, the exhibit became a meaningful space where students could share their creativity and celebrate their artistic journey.

The FEU Roosevelt first-year TED students had a seminar under their FEUR course focusing on the Responsible and Ethical Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence. The session, led by Prof. John Richard Santos, explored how AI can greatly enhance learning and productivity while also raising important questions about responsibility and integrity.
It highlighted the risks of misuse, including plagiarism, misinformation, and overdependence on AI tools, and urged students to approach technology with critical thinking and ethical awareness. The seminar emphasized that while AI offers powerful opportunities, it must be used responsibly to ensure that it supports human creativity, honesty, and accountability.
The event provided students with valuable insights that will guide them in navigating the opportunities and challenges of AI in their academic life and beyond.
