First OT session.

Before today, I asked so many of you:
Ano ba ang dapat i-expect?
Paano malalaman kung okay yung therapist o center?

Ang dami kong tanong.

Today I realized something.

May nagtanong sa akin sa isang seminar pano daw ako nagci-circle time kung hindi naman nauupo yung mga bata.

So here’s what worked for me. As I learned more about neuroaffirming approaches and inclusive practices, I stopped chasing and started anchoring.

This worked for me before in a neurodiverse kindergarten classroom, and I’m now applying the same principle with my younger kids.

Our MWF 9–11 AM group is officially FULL 🤍
(Thank you for the trust!)

Our TThSat 9–11 AM group has 1 slot remaining.

Once filled, we will begin a waitlist to maintain our small, intentional group size.

Due to demand, we have also opened a new 1:00–3:00 PM slot.
At Miss Jenine’s Learning Center, we keep our groups small to ensure:
• meaningful interaction
• guided support
• a calm, structured environment

If you’ve been considering enrolling your child, this may be the right time to reach out.

Send us a message and we’ll guide you through the next steps. 🤍

Looking for OT recommendations around Marikina and Lower Antipolo area

25/02/2026

Today we brought our boys for a developmental assessment.

Before today, I’d been talking to parents who’ve already gone through this kind of assessment with their kids, asking what it’s like, who they went to, if they were nervous too.

Thank you for being so generous with your stories. I really felt held. 🫂

If it were just me, I probably would’ve been very scared to walk into today.

I used to think the whole process felt heavy, but it actually felt more like clarity . You know, the kind that helps you understand your child better and figure out how to support them as they grow.

We came for guidance and we’re still processing, just grateful for the people around us.

Dr. IQ - Isabel Quilendrino was referred to me by a parent abroad whose boys I tutor, and that alone reminds me how this community shows up for each other, even across oceans.

This journey isn’t always easy, emotionally or financially, but it helps so much to know we’re not doing it alone. 🤍

Tomorrow, I sit on the other side of the table. I’ve guided many families through this process. But this time, I’m walking in as a mom.

Have you ever wondered where IEP kids end up?

It’s actually so inspiring to see adults who once had IEPs living full, meaningful lives.

Now, I’m not saying it’s a fairy tale. Of course, not every child will follow the same path. And we should be honest about that.

But when we remove barriers early…
when we give support, skills, and dignity…

we give children a fair chance to reach their version of a meaningful life.

IEPs don’t guarantee a specific outcome. They make possibility more accessible.

For many years, one of my favorite parts of teaching was running structured social playgroups for young learners.
In my previous work with Kinder students in a California school district (both with and without IEPs) I supported children in building tools to navigate friendships, big feelings, and classroom situations with more confidence.

These small groups were always special spaces: places where children could practice social understanding in a safe, guided way and then carry those skills back into their larger classroom.

I’m excited to now offer something similar here in the Philippines.

This small-group program is informed by social-thinking-based approaches and focuses on helping children build awareness, flexibility, regulation, and confidence in peer situations.

This is not about “fixing” children.
It’s about giving them tools so social situations feel less confusing and less overwhelming.

If you have a Kinder child who may benefit from guided practice with peers, I’d love to share more details.
We are forming one small group of five students for our first cycle.

Message me if you’d like to learn more.

Introducing S.O.C.I.A.L. Group for Kindergarteners!🩵

A small, structured group for children learning to navigate social situations and big feelings.

For some children, social skills don’t develop automatically, and that’s okay.
With guidance, modeling, and safe practice, children can build tools to understand social cues, manage big reactions, and interact with peers more confidently.

This group may support Kinder students who:
• have big reactions to small problems
• miss social cues
• find peer situations overwhelming
• need guided practice with friendships
