NATIONALS, HERE WE COME! 🥋

This May 16–17, some of our warriors will proudly step onto the national stage for the very first time at the New Face of the Year Nationals! One team ready to represent with pride and heart.

While not everyone was able to join this time, every single member of the team remains part of this journey. Your hard work in training continues to help build the strength of this team every day. Let’s do one last round of hard sparring tomorrow!

Kyorugi registration is now officially closed and locked in, but poomsae registration is still open. There’s still time to step up and be part of the action!

Let’s come together and support our team this coming May 16-17 for kyorugi and May 31 for poomsae, see you all there! 🥋

Student Highlight 🌟

One of Lakan’s very first students started her journey with a simple goal…to get fit. Today, she’s winning tournament after tournament through consistency, discipline, and heart.

In her most recent competition, she stepped into the advanced division for the first time, facing a higher belt and a more experienced opponent. The nerves were real, but she chose courage. She stayed composed, fought smart, and proved that mindset can rise above experience.

And that’s the lesson for everyone:

You don’t have to be the best to start.
You just have to be willing to try, to show up, and to keep going….even when it’s scary.

Growth happens when you step out of your comfort zone.

As we head into the nationals this May 16 weekend, she will be competing together with the rest of the team, each one stepping up, facing their own challenges, and giving their best.

Let this be a reminder to all our students: your journey is your own, but we grow stronger together. Stay consistent, trust the process, and your time will come.

Here’s a glimpse of our noble warriors in action from the recent MAPAMASA Kyorugi competition.

Every match told a story of courage.

For some, it was their very first time stepping onto the mat, facing the unknown with heart and determination.
For others, it meant going up against higher belts, stronger opponents, and even competing in higher brackets.
And for a few, it was their first time facing advanced players, testing not just their skills, but their spirit.
And one even stepped in to fight despite not feeling well…that’s the kind of heart you can’t teach.

Win or lose, each of you chose to fight. And that alone is something to be proud of.

We saw bravery in every exchange. Yes, we have so much more to learn and improve, but what matters most is that you showed up, gave your best, and never backed down.

This is just the beginning.
Stronger. Wiser. Hungrier!

We are proud of each and every one of you. Keep going, warriors.

With one month until our NEW FACE POOMSAE National competition, it’s back to training focusing on accuracy and presentation for our players.
