On this Rizal Day, we gather as one nation to honor the life and sacrifice of Dr. José Rizal, whose martyrdom 129 years ago became a turning point in our struggle for freedom. Rizal was not only a man of letters and science, but also a visionary who believed in the power of education, truth, and compassion to transform society. His writings awakened the spirit of nationalism in the hearts of Filipinos, reminding us that dignity and justice are rights worth defending.

As we commemorate his martyrdom, we remember that Rizal’s courage was not born of violence, but of conviction — his pen became his weapon, his ideals his shield, and his love for country his enduring legacy. His death at Bagumbayan was not the end, but the spark that ignited a revolution and inspired generations to continue the fight for liberty.

Sa bawat puyat, pagod, at sakripisyong inyong pinagdaanan, pinatunayan ninyo na ang pangarap ay walang kinikilalang hangganan at ang pagsisikap ay walang pinipiling katayuan. Kayo ang buhay na patotoo na ang talino at husay ay nananalaytay sa bawat katutubong nagnanais magsilbi at maglingkod.

Para sa ating mga kapatid na Agta at sa lahat ng mga katutubong kabataan na nangangarap din sa ilalim ng mga bituin. Huwag kailanman hayaang limitahan ng inyong katayuan ang lawak ng inyong pananaw. Ang inyong kultura ay inyong lakas, at ang edukasyon ang inyong magiging sandata upang protektahan at paunlarin ang inyong lahi.

Kina Marjolyn at Jofelyn, ang inyong pagpasa sa Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers ay nagsisilbing liwanag na gagabay sa mga susunod pang henerasyon.
