Sa patuloy na pagpapatupad ng DepEd ng Catch-Up Fridays, sa pamamagitan ng programa nito na "Drop Everything and Read", ang ABULUG CENTRAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ay patuloy pa rin na nakikiisa at nagsasagawa ng mga aktibidades na naaayon nasabing programa.

Ito ay naglalayong palakasin ang pundasyon, panlipunan at iba pang kasanayan na kinakailangan upang maisakatuparan ang layunin nito na nakatuon sa paglinang sa pagbabasa ng mag-aaral, mahasa ang kritikal na pag-iisip, analitikal at mga kasanayan sa pagsulat.
