Paddaya Elementary School Launches First-Ever SELG 2026 Online Election

Paddaya Elementary School proudly marks a historic milestone with the successful launch of its first-ever Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG) Online Election for 2026. This groundbreaking initiative introduces a modern and innovative way for young learners to actively participate in the democratic process through the use of digital technology.

Spearheaded by Sir Jami Dave G. Serrano, SELG Adviser, the project aims to promote digital literacy, responsible online engagement, and learner empowerment. By integrating technology into school governance, learners experienced a more accessible, efficient, and secure voting process — truly reflecting “The Future of Voting.”

The online election platform allowed learners to cast their votes using digital devices in a guided and supervised setup. This ensured not only the accuracy and confidentiality of votes but also provided learners with firsthand experience in practicing fairness, honesty, and accountability in leadership selection.

Teachers and school administrators expressed their full support for the initiative, recognizing its value in preparing learners for a rapidly evolving digital world. Beyond selecting student leaders, the activity served as a practical lesson in citizenship, innovation, and 21st-century skills.
