Mabuno Integrated School expresses its sincere appreciation to the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) of Gattaran for extending their support to our school through the distribution of seedlings and their environmental monitoring visit.

The seedlings will contribute to our continuing efforts to enhance our school grounds and provide a greener and more pleasant environment for our learners. This initiative also serves as a meaningful reminder of the importance of caring for our natural resources and taking collective responsibility for our surroundings.

We are equally thankful for the assessment and monitoring of our Solid Waste Management practices, which help us strengthen proper waste segregation, cleanliness, and sustainable waste management within the school.

A Glimpse of Our First-Term Journey

“Anak, kamusta ang grades mo?”
“Ma, proud ka pa rin sa akin, ‘di ba?” 🥹
"Yes, naman nak."

And just like that, another milestone has come to pass! Card Day at Mabuno Integrated School gave our learners an opportunity to look back on their first-term journey—the lessons they learned, challenges they faced, and progress they made along the way.

The first term was more than just quizzes, activities, projects, and examinations. It was filled with new experiences, friendships, laughter, challenges, discoveries, and moments that helped shape our MISeans. From early-morning preparations to deadlines, group activities, recitations, and those “kaya pa ‘to” moments, every experience became part of the journey.

For some, the results brought smiles and a sense of accomplishment. For others, they became a reminder that there is still room to improve. Whatever the numbers may show, every learner deserves recognition for the effort, perseverance, and courage they have shown throughout the term.

Remember, a report card measures academic performance, but it does not measure your worth, potential, or the person you are becoming. Every mistake can be a lesson, every setback can be a stepping stone, and every small improvement is worth celebrating.

To our dear MISeans, take pride in how far you have come. Celebrate your achievements, learn from your challenges, and continue striving for growth.

Mabuno IS Alumna Passes Nursing Board Exam at 50s; Proves Dreams have no Deadline

GATTARAN, CAGAYAN — Age is just a number and dreams have no expiration date — this was proven by Visitacion Ricardo-Pasos, a proud alumna of Mabuno Integrated School, after successfully passing the recent Philippine Nurse Licensure Examination (PNLE) 2026.

Pasos’ journey to becoming a Registered Nurse is a story of unyielding perseverance and faith.

She first graduated with a Diploma in Midwifery in 1989 and passed the Midwifery Board Examination in the same year. After years of serving in the healthcare field, her passion to learn did not stop.

Driven by her desire to enhance her skills and fulfill her childhood dream, Pasos went back to school in 2019 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Midwifery in 2021 — while at the same time taking up major Senior High School subjects as a requirement to pursue higher studies.

Prompted by her passion in healthcare, she proceeded to enroll in Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2023 and successfully graduated in September 2025.

“Amidst all the twists and turns of this life, God never left me and by His grace I made it to the recent PNLE,” Pasos shared.

The entire faculty, learners, and stakeholders of Mabuno Integrated School headed by Mr. Jefte V. Soriano extend their warmest congratulations to Ma’am Visitacion R. Pasos, RN, for bringing pride and inspiration to the whole Mabuno community.

Her story stands as a living inspiration to every learner of Mabuno Integrated School — that with faith, hard work, and determination, no dream is ever too late to achieve.

School-Based In-Service Training for Teachers (INSET 2026) was successfully conducted on September 11, 2026, bringing the teaching and non-teaching personnel of Mabuno Integrated School together for another meaningful day of learning, collaboration, reflection, and professional growth.

The day began with the National Anthem, Prayer, and Checking of Attendance, setting a purposeful and inspiring tone for the activities ahead.

The participants then engaged in a series of relevant and meaningful learning sessions:
📌 Session 01: Crafting Work Plan Proposal
📌 Session 02: Generative AI for Teachers: Materials Development and Assessment
📌 Session 03: Code of Ethics for Professional Teachers
📌 Session 04: Performance Monitoring and Evaluation System
📌 Session 05: Learning and Service Continuity Plan

These sessions provided teachers with valuable knowledge, strategies, and insights that can be applied to their respective roles and responsibilities, strengthening their commitment to effective teaching, professional ethics, innovation, performance improvement, and learning continuity

Mabuno Integrated School extends its heartfelt gratitude to our school leaders, Mr. Gefte V. Soriano, Principal I, and Mrs. Agnes Garo, Master Teacher II and OIC, for their exemplary leadership, guidance, and unwavering support that led to the successful implementation of INSET 2026.

Our sincerest appreciation to the different working committees composed of our grade-level leaders, teachers, and dedicated non-teaching personnel for their invaluable cooperation and tireless efforts in the preparation of food, materials, venue, and all logistical requirements.

We would like to extend our special thanks to Sir, Marvin Villanueva for his commendable role as Master of Ceremonies, and to

3RD QUARTER NATIONWIDE SIMULTANEOUS EARTHQUAKE DRILL 2026

Earthquake drill was successfully conducted through a home-based simulation.

Learners participated in the drill from their respective homes, following the safety instructions and guidance provided by their teachers.

The activity aimed to reinforce earthquake preparedness and ensure that learners remain aware of the proper safety procedures to follow during an earthquake, even while at home.

Through the continued guidance of teachers, the school remains committed to promoting a culture of safety and preparedness among all learners and stakeholders.

Teachers provided the necessary reminders and safety instructions to help learners properly perform the Duck, Cover, and Hold procedure and other appropriate actions during an earthquake.

This initiative aimed to strengthen earthquake preparedness and promote safety awareness even while learners were at home.
