For many, the journey to university is paved with expectations of a "perfectly balanced" lifestyle and the romanticized goal of consistent academic excellence. However, for Angel Marie Marañon, the reality of college life was a powerful teacher of humility and resilience. From the overwhelming uncertainty of senior high school scholarship applications to the challenging transition into higher education, Angel discovered that setbacks do not define failure—they shape growth. Her path to Xavier University was not just about proving capability, but about honoring a quiet promise to ease her family’s burdens and trusting in a process guided by hope rather than certainty.

Choosing Management Accounting was a leap of faith for Angel, seen as a discipline that goes far beyond mere numbers and calculations. To her, it is a field rooted in integrity and the responsibility of managing resources to create a tangible impact. Now serving as the Executive Secretary of the Junior Philippine Association of Management Accountants, she continues to move forward with deep gratitude for the lessons learned along the way.
