A total of 6,200 tilapia fingerlings were distributed in LGU Alubijid to Barangays Sampatulog, Calatcat, and Lagtang.

The fingerlings were provided by the partner stakeholder, the MSU-Naawan through the collaboration of the PTWG of Misamis Oriental. These are of a sex-reversed variety, which promotes faster and more uniform growth. With proper management and suitable growing conditions, the fish are expected to reach harvestable size within approximately four to five months.

This activity supports local food production and contributes to strengthening food security and community resilience through sustainable livelihood initiatives.

A meeting of the Project LAWA at BINHI partner-beneficiaries was successfully conducted in Barangay Odiongan, Gingoog City, led by the City Technical Working Group (CTWG) to discuss the continuation of the sustainability and maintenance of the project's established outputs.

Through the Experiential Exchange Learning Visit in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental last July 27-31, 2026, technical staff from DSWD Region II, Negros Island Region, and Region X came together to capture an inspiring journey of a Project LAWA at BINHI partner-community-- showcasing how resilience is built through partnership, community participation, and sustainable action.

The Project LAWA at BINHI team successfully conducted a Food-for-Work (FFW) monitoring activity in Barangay Kibalabag, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon to assess implementation progress, validate on-site accomplishments, and provide technical guidance to partner-beneficiaries and the Local Technical Working Group.

Ensuring that every intervention creates a lasting impact, the Project LAWA at BINHI team conducted a project monitoring of the ongoing Food-for-Work (FFW) implementation in the Municipality of Lantapan, Bukidnon.

The monitoring activity assessed the progress of community-based interventions, validated accomplishments on the ground, and provided technical guidance to partner-beneficiaries and the Local Technical Working Group. As we continue our celebration of National Disaster Resilience Month, we recognize the individuals whose dedication and perseverance strengthen the work we do each day. Kay ang kalig-on dili lamang makita sa dagkong kalampusan, apan sa pagpili nga mopadayon bisan pa sa mga pagsulay.

Today, we shine the spotlight on Mr. Wilson Pabonita, Administrative Assistant I. Despite being one of the newest members of the Project LAWA at BINHI team, Wilson has consistently demonstrated initiative, reliability, and a strong commitment to public service. His dedication and quality of work have earned the trust and confidence of the team, leading to his recommendation for career advancement.

For Wilson, resilience is revealed through the choices we make in the face of failure.

He believes that resilience is born when we choose to move forward despite uncertainty.
