The Northern Mindanao Medical Center successfully conducted its People Management Training on April 28, 2026, bringing together healthcare professionals for a day of learning, collaboration, and growth. The program focused on enhancing leadership skills, improving workplace communication, and promoting employee well-being—key elements in building a more effective and supportive work environment.

Through interactive discussions and practical activities, participants were equipped with tools to better manage teams, foster collaboration, and contribute to quality patient care. This initiative reflects NMMC’s continued commitment to developing its workforce and delivering excellent public service.

The Office for Lifelong Learning and Professional Development at the City College of Cagayan de Oro, in collaboration with the Professional Education, Training, and Research Unit of NMMC, successfully held a Workplace Emotional Intelligence Training on April 30, 2026. The Northern Mindanao Medical Center hosted an event designed for both medical and non-medical personnel.
A full-day training session convened participants from diverse clinical and administrative departments, highlighting the critical role of self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, and social skills in the provision of patient-centered care. Participants engaged in interactive discussions, role-playing activities, and reflective exercises to examine the impact of emotional intelligence on their daily interactions with patients, colleagues, and the wider healthcare environment.
The initiative underscores NMMC’s dedication to cultivating healthcare professionals who possess both technical skills and emotional intelligence, thereby promoting a more compassionate and resilient workplace culture.
