π’ OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Deferment of the 2026 Grand Alumni Homecoming
To all Alumni, Batch Representatives, and Stakeholders of Mantangale National High School:
Please be informed that the MNHS Alumni Association has officially released Resolution No. 001, Series of 2026, regarding the scheduled Grand Alumni Homecoming previously set for this month (May 2026).
ποΈ Event Status: DEFERRED TO 2028
In compliance with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) advisory and in consideration of the current national crisis and declared national energy emergency, the Alumni Officers have made the difficult but necessary decision to cancel the May 2026 homecoming and reschedule it to the year 2028.
π Why was this decision made?
Safety & Well-being: The current national crisis and energy emergency significantly impact mobility, resource allocation, and our ability to safely host large-scale events.
Government Directives: Following the DILG advisory recommending the deferment of non-essential mass gatherings to prioritize community and government resources.
Preparation Time: Moving the event to 2028 allows sufficient time for stabilization, recovery, and thorough, early planning to ensure a safe, inclusive, and meaningful celebration.
π» Whatβs Next?
During this interim period, the Alumni Association may organize alternative low-impact or virtual activities as feasible so we can stay connected.
We appreciate your kind understanding, patience, and unwavering support as we prioritize the safety of our alma mater's community. Please share this announcement to reach your fellow batchmates.
Stay safe, alumni! π

A humble heart can make a big difference.

Earlier this morning, May 09, 2026, a silence fell over our community that weighed heavily on every heart. A devastating fire struck the home of the Abao Family in Palma, Lapinig, Balingoan, Misamis Oriental, leaving them in a heartbreaking situation. In just a matter of moments, the fire caused severe damage, taking away their home, personal belongings, and even a precious life. The family is now facing the painful challenge of recovering from this unexpected tragedy, and we humbly ask for your prayers, kindness, and support during this difficult time.
One of the family members, π΄πππ π²ππππππ πΉ. π¨πππ, was a former student of Mantangale National High School and an active member of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines.
At this difficult time, any helpβbig or smallβcan make a meaningful difference for the family. Your donations will help provide their daily needs and support them as they slowly recover from the effects of the fire. We are knocking on your generous hearts to extend any form of assistance for the Abao Family.
For those who would like to send financial assistance, you may donate through:
π GCash No.: 09851024495
π€ Account Name: Randy Valmoria
We also gladly accept in-kind donations such as:
β’ Food

β’ Other basic necessities
π Donations may be dropped off at the Administrative Office of Mantangale National High School.
In times like this, unity, compassion, and kindness can bring hope to families experiencing hardship. Let us come together as one community to help the Abao Family rise again from this tragedy. No act of kindness is ever too small, and every prayer and donation will be deeply appreciated.
Thank you for your generosity, prayers, and willingness to help. May your kindness and compassion return to you a hundredfold. ππ€
