Angat Buhay volunteer groups from Abra and Ilocos Norte have turned over relief goods for affected families to the LGU of Lagangilang. In the coming days, we will continue assessments and the distribution of needed relief through our on-ground partners. Once again, we thank all the volunteers who responded to the call to help our fellow Filipinos in areas hit by the recent earthquake. We also express our gratitude to Vice Mayor Paul Abaya for his invaluable assistance.

Happy to be back in Iloilo! Thank you very much to Governor Toto Defensor and Mayor Jerry Treñas for the warm welcome. Gov. Toto and Mayor Jerry were ever-reliable partners in our advocacy programs, and among the first local government officials to publicly support my candidacy for president. Excited to keep working with them, too, in the new chapter of Angat Buhay.

I’m grateful for the outpouring of support from my beloved Ilonggos, especially during the campaign. I have many happy memories here, and I look forward to making more. Damo guid nga salamat!
