𝘾𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣 𝙙𝙚 𝙊𝙧𝙤 𝘾𝙞𝙩𝙮, 𝙋𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨 — September 4, 2026 — The 𝘼𝙇𝙎 𝙒𝙚𝙚𝙠𝙚𝙣𝙙 𝘽𝙧𝙞𝙙𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘼𝙘𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙢𝙮 officially held its Learners’ Onboarding at the 𝘾𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙜𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣 𝙙𝙚 𝙊𝙧𝙤, marking the beginning of the program’s implementation.

The onboarding brought together learners, facilitators, and organizers to establish a strong foundation for the upcoming sessions. Participants were introduced to their respective facilitators, who will provide continuous academic support.

A hands-on gadget navigation tutorial was conducted to help learners become familiar with the devices provided for their program. The participants were likewise oriented on the program delivery structure, schedules, responsibilities, and expectations, providing them with a clear understanding of what to expect as they progress.

Beyond orientation, the session served as an opportunity to build connections and foster a supportive community. By bringing learners and facilitators together, the event created a space where participants feel guided, empowered, and encouraged to actively engage in their education.

ALS Weekend Bridging Academy

The 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 (𝗘𝗦𝗗𝗦) proudly celebrates the approval of 𝐀𝐋𝐒 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐲, an extension project led by 𝐃𝐑. 𝐑𝐀𝐘 𝐁𝐔𝐓𝐂𝐇 𝐌𝐀𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐘 , together with 𝐌𝐑. 𝐇𝐎𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐃 𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐀𝐍 𝐎. 𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐑.

This milestone highlights the College’s continuing commitment to advancing responsive, relevant, and impactful extension initiatives that translate knowledge and expertise into meaningful action for the communities we serve.

𝘾𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣 𝙙𝙚 𝙊𝙧𝙤 𝘾𝙞𝙩𝙮, 𝙋𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨 — July 31, 2026 — The 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 (CALS) of the 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗲 𝗢𝗿𝗼 (CCCDO) conducted the 𝗔𝗟𝗦 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝘆 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀' 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆 to orient upcoming participants for the upcoming implementation of the 𝗔𝗟𝗦 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝘆.

Held at the College Library, the activity gathered twelve (12) Alternative Learning System (ALS) graduates, program managers, and key institutional officials to formally launch the initiative. The assembly provided a comprehensive overview of the program’s background, session schedules, and dedicated support systems designed to help non-traditional learners transition smoothly into higher education and specialized technical training.

The Learners' Assembly marks a crucial first step in bridging the gap between non-traditional basic education and tertiary opportunities. By equipping incoming students with clear expectations, structural support, and institutional guidance, CCCDO reinforces its commitment to accessible, inclusive higher education for all ALS graduates entering the ALS Weekend Bridging Academy.

Binigyang-diin ni Education Secretary Sonny Angara na bukod sa pagtatapos sa pag-aaral, dapat ding kilalanin ang mga praktikal na kasanayan sa pang-araw-araw na buhay.

Ito ay matapos kilalanin ng Department of Education (DepEd) at UNICEF Philippines ang 313 Alternative Learning System (ALS) learners mula sa Misamis Oriental na matagumpay na nagpamalas ng mahahalagang life skills sa ilalim ng pilot ALS Micro-Certification initiative.
