I have built dozens of websites, helped small businesses and start-ups, collaborated with fellow freelancers, and worked for digital marketing agencies for the last 12 years and counting. As an entrepreneurial creative, I feel like our day to day grind can cause us stress, anxiety and depression even if we are very passionate about it. It is just how our mind and body ticks. Why This âVA on Everythingâ Trend is Bad for the Industry
1. It Devalues Specialized Professions
Calling a skilled job âGraphic Designer VAâ or âWordPress Developer VAâ lowers the perceived worth of years of education, training, and professional experience. It makes clients think âoh it is just a VAâ instead of âthis is a professional with a specialty.â
2. It Encourages Exploitation
Employers use the VA label to justify low rates while expecting high-level expertise. It is the classic âget a unicorn for peanutsâ strategy.
3. It Blurs the Scope of Work
True VAs handle general admin tasks. But when you put âVAâ on specialist titles, suddenly your graphic designer is also managing your calendar and your video editor is doing lead research for the same pay.
4. It Misleads Job Seekers and Clients
A business owner who thinks they are hiring a VA may expect fast, cheap, and task based work. They get frustrated when a real professional prices accordingly or refuses menial tasks.
How to Position Specialized Remote Roles Without âVAâ
Use âRemoteâ or âVirtualâ in the location (for example Remote Graphic Designer) rather than in the title
Focus on expertise (for example Brand Identity Designer, Full Stack WordPress Developer, Motion Graphics Video Editor) because the delivery method is not relevant
If it is a hybrid role be honest (for example Remote Graphic Designer with Admin Support Duties) instead of using the VA tag
The best websites are never done by one person alone.

For someone with ADHD, becoming a designer or architect can feel impossible.
Itâs like trying to focus on one way to use a product while your brain is busy inventing a million others.
Youâre overflowing with ideas, yet youâre expected to narrow them down into one perfect solution.
But hereâs the twist: that same endless creativity is also your greatest strength. Once you learn how to channel it, the possibilities are endless.
Can you relate? How do you manage all the ideas that compete for your attention?

Kamusta VA Geeks?
Nakakapagod. Nakakadrain.
1. Homecare or Healthcare Staffing sa US
Usually long term ang contracts at may tamang budget.
2. E-commerce or Amazon or Shopify brands
3. Real Estate sa US, Canada o Australia
â
VA roles dito ay cold calling, appointment setting, CRM management, listing updates.
â
Fast-paced pero rewarding.
4. Digital Marketing Agencies
5. Medical Receptionist or Virtual Front Desk
Now is the perfect time para pumili ng client na may long-term vision.
You are a skilled service provider.
You are a business partner.
You deserve respect and proper pay.
Laban VA Geeks. Letâs grow and build smarter.

Minimalist design + clean code = a website that loads faster, looks better, and converts higher.
Because every extra element, line of code, or flashy effect slows down your message. When you strip a website down to only what mattersâclear layout, intentional content, and streamlined performanceâyou create an experience that feels effortless for users and powerful for your brand. Clean design and clean code arenât just aesthetic choicesâtheyâre conversion strategies.
