Liceo de Cagayan University continued its commitment to global and language education excellence through its participation in the Philippine German Language Teachers Conference (DLT) 2026 held on May 22–23, 2026. Representing the University were faculty members Jasmin C. Lagumbay, Hezron A. Daba, and Rose Jean T. Amora.

Centered on the theme “Strong Together with German,” this year’s conference gathered German language educators from schools, colleges, universities, language institutions, and the Goethe-Institut Philippines for two days of professional learning, collaboration, and academic exchange.

Day 1 featured workshops and discussions on teaching practices, emerging methodologies, classroom communication, digital learning, and current developments in German language education. Participants also explored instructional materials and teaching resources presented by publishing partners while engaging with fellow educators from across the country.

Meanwhile, Day 2 continued with breakout sessions and collaborative discussions that allowed participants to further exchange ideas, teaching experiences, and best practices in German language instruction.

More than a professional gathering, DLT 2026 served as a platform for strengthening academic networks and fostering a shared commitment to advancing German language education in the Philippines.

Through this participation, Licean educators gained valuable insights and contemporary teaching strategies that further support the University’s dedication to faculty development, internationalization, and delivering quality education responsive to global standards.

During our AI and LM Notebook Concepts session with Dr. Charline Nixon, International Professor of Maryland , the session was held at the East Academic Cluster, Liceo U Main Campus last May 13,2026. It was attended by College of Arts and Sciences , Senior High School and College of Engineering faculty members.
