The Pamantasan ng Cabuyao, in partnership with 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲, officially launches the 𝗠𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 this Monday, May 18, 2026.

This 2-week training program aims to equip participants with valuable technical skills and prepare them for future employment opportunities. Successful trainees from the first batch will be endorsed to Suzuki for potential placement.

A total of 10 students from 4Ps and PESO Cabuyao will participate in this pioneer batch. More opportunities are coming soon, as the next batch will be announced shortly.

The Regular Class Program will also open soon, offering 25 available slots for the upcoming batch.

LOOK | Advancing Community Support through Micro-Credentials

A productive discussion was held at the DILG Office, Cabuyao with Barangay Chairpersons regarding the proposed Micro-Credentials Program of Pamantasan ng Cabuyao – Continuing Professional Education Department (CPED), aimed at expanding access to skills-based education for youth and other barangay constituents.

The discussion was led by Dr. Renelina D. Mañabo, Executive Vice President of Pamantasan ng Cabuyao, who presented the value of micro-credentials as short-term, job-ready certification programs that support employability, upskilling, and livelihood opportunities at the community level.

Meanwhile, Ms. April Galang, Budget Director, discussed how barangay funds may be strategically utilized to support scholarship programs, enabling qualified constituents to enroll in micro-credential courses and gain industry-relevant skills.

This initiative highlights the collaborative efforts of Pamantasan ng Cabuyao – Continuing Professional Education Department (CPED), barangay leadership, and partner institutions in advancing youth development, skills training, and inclusive access to education through sustainable and community-driven programs.

Further engagements with barangays are expected as part of the continuing efforts to empower communities through education and skills development.

The University of Cabuyao (Pamantasan ng Cabuyao) convened a collaborative meeting with the Mother and Child Nurses Association of the Philippines (MCNAP) on February 3, 2026, to explore potential partnerships supporting the professional development of nursing and allied health practitioners, including National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) sponsorship initiatives.

Discussions centered on the possible recognition of the Pamantasan ng Cabuyao Continuing Professional Education and Development (PNC CPED), the alignment of CPD points with the Microcredential Health and Allied Sciences Cluster, and pathways for integrating CPD credits into structured learning programs. These efforts aim to strengthen professional learning pathways and promote lifelong education in the healthcare sector.

Representatives from the College of Allied Health Sciences (CHAS), MCNAP, Anaheim International Healthcare, and partner institutions participated in the dialogue, reflecting a shared commitment to academic–industry collaboration, global readiness, and the continuous enhancement of healthcare education.

The University of Cabuyao (Pamantasan ng Cabuyao) successfully conducted a Collaborative Orientation on the Microcredentials Program for Youth Leaders on February 2, 2026, in coordination with the Cabuyao Sangguniang Kabataan (SK), led by SK Federation President, 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗡𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝗞𝗲𝗲𝗳𝗲 𝗞𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗗𝗲𝗹 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼.

The orientation aimed to present the program’s objectives, scope, and learning opportunities, emphasizing the role of microcredentials in promoting competency-based learning and strengthening youth leadership capacities. The initiative highlighted the importance of equipping young leaders with practical, industry-relevant skills aligned with community development and professional growth.

University officials present included 𝗗𝗿. 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗗. 𝗠𝗮ñ𝗮𝗯𝗼, Executive Vice President, and 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗔𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗻 𝗝. 𝗦𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗼, Director of the Continuing Professional Education Department (CPED). Their participation reaffirmed the University’s commitment to inclusive, skills-driven education for the youth sector.

The collaboration reflects a shared vision between the University of Cabuyao and the SK Federation to empower young leaders through innovative educational pathways that address the evolving needs of communities and the workforce.
