LUMINA lights up Cabuago, stuns learners
There were 78 learners in Salapasap ES were transported into a world of wonder and discovery at LUMINA, offered by Earthlings: The Premier and Most Trusted Name in Innovative Science Exhibit. From the Philippines’ first-ever live lights & shadow performance to interactive floor lights, optical illusions, and life-sized scientific gadgets, every corner sparked curiosity and creativity. LUMINA also inspired learners to reflect on Earth, evolution, and our role in protecting the planet.
Portal 1 offered the Philippines’ first-ever awe-inspiring live performance by a renowned artist, using lights and shadows to create a stunning fusion of arts, music, and science that celebrated Mother Earth. Portal 2 allowed learners to step onto interactive floor lights and explore panoramic views of nature, engaging in creative and exploratory activities that sparked curiosity. Portal 3 featured Chicago’s famous optical illusions and life-sized scientific gadgets, providing curriculum-based, interactive learning that complemented classroom discussions and made visual learning both fun and memorable.
Meanwhile, LUMINA took learners on a thought-provoking journey through evolution, the paradox of human existence, and humanity’s growing responsibility toward the planet, using powerful storytelling and shadow art to encourage reflection on Earth’s past, present, and future. The entire experience not only sparked excitement and wonder but also strengthened students’ appreciation for science, creativity, and environmental stewardship, proving that learning becomes truly meaningful when curiosity, imagination, and responsibility toward the planet come together.
