The Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST)โCollege of Education and Sunchon National University (SCNU), South Korea held an executive meeting this afternoon at 3:00 p.m. at the Meeting Room of the Mini Convention Center, NEUST Sumacab Campus.
The meeting focused on key matters concerning the schedule of the NEUSTโSCNU Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing in South Korea and the upcoming visit of the NEUST delegation to Sunchon National University.
The meeting provided an opportunity for both institutions to discuss the proposed arrangements, timelines, and coordination needed to ensure the successful implementation of their international partnership. The discussions further reaffirmed the commitment of NEUST and SCNU to strengthen academic collaboration, faculty and student engagement, and internationalization initiatives.
The executive meeting marks another significant step toward deepening the partnership between NEUST-College of Education and Sunchon National University, paving the way for more meaningful academic and cultural exchanges between the Philippines and South Korea.

CABANATUAN CITY โ Marking a milestone in student leadership and global engagement, 23 student pioneers gathered yesterday for the inaugural meeting of the College of Education Internationalization (COED-IZN) Club, yesterday, August 6, officially establishing the very first internationalization-focused student organization in the history of Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology.
The historic assembly served as the launchpad for the college's student-led internationalization arm. During the meeting, the founding cohort elected its roster of interim officers who will steer the organization through its foundational phase:
President: Rainier S. Cuares
Vice-President: Lira C. Gomez
Secretary: MJ Limos
Treasurer: John Miko A. Hernandez
Auditor: Cassay M. Garcia
Business Manager: Mark Justin Angeles
While formal club recognition and general membership applications are slated in the second semester, the COED-IZN Club is hitting the ground running. The newly formed interim leadership and pioneer members are immediately stepping up to lead incoming global initiatives.
Guiding the pioneer student leaders in this endeavor are club advisers Mr. Jade Hizon, MSc, and Dr. Analiza B. Tanghal, who will oversee the organization's strategic vision and integration with the university's broader internationalization framework.
With its inaugural officers now at the helm, the COED-IZN Club sets a new benchmark for student empowerment, positioning the College of Education at the forefront of global academic and cultural exchange.

His presentation provided valuable insights into effective instructional leadership, fostering meaningful academic discussions among faculty members, educators, and students from both institutions.

NEUST College of Education Conducts International Webinar on AI-Assisted Science Education
The College of Education (COED) of the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST), in coordination with the University Training Department, successfully conducted an international webinar entitled "Bridging Innovation and Instruction: AI-Assisted Materials in Science Education" on July 4, 2026, via Zoom. The activity gathered faculty members, pre-service teachers, researchers, and education professionals from the Philippines and Indonesia to exchange knowledge and best practices on the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in science education. The webinar forms part of the College's continuing commitment to internationalization, faculty development, and academic excellence.
The program commenced with the singing of the Philippine and Indonesian National Anthems, followed by an ecumenical prayer. Participants were formally welcomed by Dr. Jo Neil T. Peria, Dean of the College of Education, who underscored the importance of global academic collaboration in preparing future-ready educators equipped with the knowledge and skills to navigate the rapidly evolving educational landscape. The opening program also highlighted the University's commitment to strengthening international partnerships and promoting innovative teaching practices.
The webinar featured three distinguished speakers from the Philippines and Indonesia. Dr. Alice T. Rivera of NEUST shared innovative strategies on developing AI-assisted instructional materials to enhance science teaching and learning. Ms. Ihtiari Prastyaningrum, M.Si. of Universitas PGRI Madiun discussed the transformative role of artificial intelligence in improving science education while promoting creativity and learner engagement. Meanwhile, Mr. Eko Saputra Nurdiansa, S.Pd., M.Pd. of Universitas Muhammadiyah Kendari presented international perspectives on technology-enhanced instruction and innovative practices in science education. Each session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer forum, fostering meaningful discussions among participants.
As one of the flagship internationalization initiatives of the College of Education, the webinar reaffirmed NEUST's dedication to fostering global academic partnerships, promoting innovation in teaching, and advancing quality teacher education. By bringing together experts and educators from different countries, the program strengthened professional collaboration, encouraged the responsible integration of AI in education, and reinforced the University's vision of producing globally competent, innovative, and socially responsive educators capable of addressing the challenges of 21st-century teaching and learning.
