Join the first-ever Inter-School Battle of the Bands hosted by MVGFC, in celebration of 61st Foundation day.
Here are the official guidelines and mechanics for the upcoming Inter-School Leap Year Battle of the Bands.
1. The contest is open for all bona fide students at senior high schools and colleges in Nueva Ecija.
2. The band members shall be composed of all-student 4 to 7 members only. In the event of lacking student members, faculty or staff of the school, alumni, or other students from the same school can join as long as the 60% of the band members are current students.
3. MVGFC students can join the contest, and they will be subjected to the screening procedure.
4. To register, the band groups must submit their formal application form to MVGFC together with a valid school ID, current COR, and or Certification of enrollment of each group member. For faculty or staff members of the bands, a company ID will be required.
5. The members of the group may be composed of all males or females, or a combination.
6. Each group must submit a sample video performance for screening purposes to the provided link of the organizers on or before February 20, 2024
7. Each group can perform any rock music as long as there are no obscene, lewd, or green words in the lyrics. (note: too much amplification of instruments that will obscure or overpower the volume of the vocals is not allowed).
8. The mixing of different songs is not allowed.
9. Each group will be given 7-10 minutes to perform. Under or over time may result in a deduction of five (5) points will from the group's total final score.
10. The use of pyrotechnic gadgets, smoke, or combustible materials as props are not allowed.
11. The Band members who will be under the influence of alcohol and drugs will not be allowed to enter in MVGFC Event premises on the day of the contest.

Joined us for the grand unveiling of Dr. Loretta Sanidad's magnum opus, "REVISITING THE PAST, FORETELLING THE FUTURE: THE VOYAGE OF THE INSTITUTE OF NURSING AND ALLIED HEALTH SCIENCES OF MVGFCI," a testament to our enduring legacy. This groundbreaking legacy book, meticulously crafted and published by 7 Eyes Production, bore the ISBN: 978-621-8194-56-4.
Dived into the pages of this remarkable work, generously supported by a book grant from the esteemed Office of the President of Manuel V. Gallego Foundation Colleges (MVGFC). We came together to celebrate not just a book, but the profound impact and evolution of MVGFC's Institute of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences. This momentous occasion marked a stride into the future, carrying the torch of our rich history while casting a visionary gaze ahead.
The activity was in line with the commemoration of the 131st nativity of Dr. Manuel Viola Gallego, Founder of MVGFC, who was born on the faithful day of January 18, 1893, and peacefully rested with the Lord on August 13, 1976. Dr. Gallego was the author of the book "The Language Problem of the Filipinos" (1932), considered the blueprint for former President Manuel L. Quezon's declaration of Tagalog as our National Language.
