Protecting ourselves and others from HIV begins with awareness and responsible choices. One way to prevent HIV is through abstinence, which means choosing not to engage in sexual activity. Practicing safe methods, such as using protection and avoiding sharing needles, can also greatly reduce the risk of transmission. ✅ HIV is transmitted through specific body fluids such as blood, semen, vaginal fluids, re**al fluids, and breast milk — most commonly through unprotected sexual contact, sharing needles, infected blood transfusion, or from mother to child without proper treatment.
