The Saint Joseph Institute of Technology, through its Expanded Tertiary Education and Equivalency Program (ETEEAP), successfully conducted the Management Seminar and Experiential Tour (MSET), reinforcing the leadership capabilities and professional growth of its BSBA learners.
Anchored on the theme “Catalysts of Change: Igniting Innovative and Transformational Leadership,” the activity highlighted the importance of adaptability, innovation, and leadership in today’s evolving business landscape.
One of the key sessions featured Dr. Gladys M. Amparado, who delivered an engaging discussion on Mental & Emotional Well-Being: Emotional Intelligence at Work, emphasizing the value of emotional resilience and fostering a healthy, productive workplace.
The institution also extends its sincere appreciation to Dr. Josefa M. Canoy, Dean and Program Coordinator, for her unwavering support and commitment in advancing the ETEEAP program. Her leadership continues to inspire accessible, high-quality, and industry-relevant education for working professionals.
The event concluded with the awarding of certificates and a photo opportunity, marking a meaningful and enriching learning experience for all participants.

The Saint Joseph Institute of Technology, Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) proudly recognizes the successful completion of the Caraga Experiential Tour of our Bachelor of Science in Business Administration students majoring in Operations Management and Marketing Management professionals who are already actively contributing to their respective industries.
This immersion provided participants with a broader and deeper understanding of how Caraga’s key sectors operate, innovate, and sustain growth strengthening both their practical expertise and strategic insight.
🔹 PHILSAGA Mining Corporation – Participants gained valuable insights into large-scale mining operations, including extraction systems, safety standards, environmental compliance, and corporate responsibility. The experience reinforced the importance of governance, risk management, and sustainability in high-impact industries.
🔹 CORI (Filipinas Palm Oil Plantation Inc.) – The visit highlighted end-to-end agribusiness operations, from plantation processes to production and distribution. It emphasized efficiency, quality control, and supply chain integration, alongside sustainable and responsible agricultural practices.
🔹 Lerio Chocolate Company – Participants explored how a local enterprise transforms cacao into premium products through innovation, quality assurance, and effective branding. The visit underscored how SMEs can grow competitively through strong operations and strategic marketing.
Through direct engagement with industry leaders, participants enhanced their competencies in operations, supply chain management, sustainability, and decision-making linking their current professional experience with broader industry practices.
More than an academic requirement, this experiential tour served as a platform for professional growth expanding perspectives, sharpening leadership skills, and reinforcing industry relevance.

The Commission on Higher Education (Commission on Higher Education) will officially launch the ETEEAP National Registration and Onboarding for Lifelong Learning Overseas Filipino Workers (ENROLL OFWs) Online Enlistment System on April 7, 2026. This initiative expands access to higher education and lifelong learning opportunities for adult learners, particularly repatriated OFWs, by offering flexible pathways and recognizing prior learning and work experience. Guided by the ACHIEVE Agenda of CHED Chairperson Shierly C. Agrupis, the program emphasizes accessibility, inclusivity, empowerment, career advancement, holistic support, value-driven education, and excellence.
In the Caraga Region, Saint Joseph Institute of Technology is the only deputized higher education institution authorized to facilitate degree completion through the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP). Interested applicants may coordinate with the ETEEAP Coordinator, Josefa C. Canoy, for proper guidance. A total of 39 repatriated OFWs in the region will be assisted in exploring career pathways through ETEEAP degree completion or certification programs under the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
The regional implementation is led by Nelia A. Alibin, Regional Director of CHED Caraga, with support from Amy C. Saavedra, Education Supervisor II and ETEEAP Focal Person. For inquiries, applicants may contact the CHED Caraga Regional Office or visit their official website. This initiative highlights CHED Caraga’s commitment to lifelong learning, skills development, and the successful reintegration of returning OFWs.
