ACE for GATE successfully conducted the Culmination Program for the Engineering Month Celebration 2026 on March 30, 2026, via Zoom Teleconference. The seamless ex*****on of this event reflects the strong commitment of the academic community to promoting excellence, collaboration, and lifelong learning in the field of engineering.
A key highlight of the program was the insightful presentation of our guest speaker, Engr. Philip Donald C. Sanchez, who shared valuable international experiences and underscored the significance of research publication. His discussion motivated participants to broaden their perspectives, pursue global opportunities, and actively contribute to advancing knowledge through impactful research.
The event also featured a Recognition and Awarding Ceremony honoring Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) with topnotchers in the board examinations. This meaningful segment celebrated not only academic distinction but also the unwavering dedication of institutions in shaping competent, globally competitive, and future-ready engineers and geoscientists.
Through engaging discussions, shared insights, and well-deserved recognitions, the activity truly embodied the spirit of engineering excellence and professional growth.

๐ WORKSHOP ON THE CHED MONITORING WORKBOOK FOR AY 2025โ2026
On July 17, 2025, ACE for GATE hosted the Workshop on the CHED Monitoring Workbook at the New Admin Conference Room, bringing together program chairs, unit heads, QA officers, and personnel from HEIs across the region. The session aimed to strengthen the capability of schools in systematically accomplishing, documenting, and consolidating monitoring requirements in preparation for the upcoming CHED monitoring and evaluation activities.
Participants from ASSCAT, CSU, CSU-CC, FSUU, NEMSU-Cantilan, NEMSU-Bislig, SEC, SJIT, and SNSU actively joined the discussions and practical workshop sessions. Dr. Criseldo C. Calinawan, Education Supervisor II of CHEDRO-Caraga, led the presentation on the workbookโs relevance and provided practical guidance to ensure accurate, timely, and consistent reporting aligned with CHED mandates.
This initiative highlights the commitment of HEIs in Caraga to maintaining quality assurance standards and readiness for CHED monitoring, contributing to the continued improvement of higher education services in the region.

๐ Engineering Month 2025 Culmination Program ๐
The Association of Caraga Educators for Geology, Architecture, Technology, and Engineering (ACE for GATE), in collaboration with the Commission on Higher Education - Caraga Regional Office, hosted by the College of Engineering and Geosciences, Caraga State University, proudly concluded the Engineering Month Celebration 2025 on March 28th at the Hero Learning Commons, Caraga State University.
This momentous event served as a platform to honor the hard work and dedication of engineering programs from Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) within Caraga Region and promote the continued growth of the engineering field. The celebration was attended by participants from various HEIs across the Caraga Region, including Caraga State University - Main and Cabadbaran Campuses, Northeastern Mindanao State University - Cantilan Campus, Surigao del Norte State University - Main Campus, Surigao Education Center, and Saint Joseph Institute of Technology.
The program kicked off with inspiring remarks from Engr. Anamarie P. Sajonia, Dean of the College of Engineering and Geosciences (CEGS) and President of ACE for GATE, who emphasized the importance of engineering excellence and collaboration. Dr. Vicente A. Pitogo, Vice President for Academic Affairs of CSU, delivered a message of support, reaffirming the university's commitment to fostering innovation in engineering.
A highlight of the event was an enlightening talk by Engr. Ervine E. Lanquino, President of IECEP-Caraga, who shared his insights on sustainability and the evolving landscape of engineering. The event also featured a video presentation showcasing the key moments and successes of Engineering Month, followed by an awards ceremony to recognize outstanding individuals and teams for their contributions.
Attendees were treated to a networking break, where they connected and shared ideas before the meeting resumed with updates on ACE for GATE 2025 plans. The officers-in-charge shared their vision for the organizationโs future endeavors, and Engr. Ianness Glen P. Sabilla, Vice President of ACE for GATE, closed the program with heartfelt gratitude for everyoneโs participation and support.
The culmination of Engineering Month 2025 was not just a celebration of accomplishments but a stepping stone toward future collaborations and innovations within the engineering community.
