About this year's banner and theme of 2020:

Green is CSU's color, green is Caraga's color as green is associated with green technology, green energy, green industry, green economy.

The 2 curved lines showing the -19 trends we always look at every morning to see if we achieve the flattening of the curve.

The bigger CSU logo signifies the bolder and stronger CSU leading the way; with the yellow sunrays giving us hope for a sunny future as we navigate the new normal (represented by the ship's wheel).

The application of nanotechnology to mining and mineral processing is one of the active areas of research nowadays. In particular, metal recovery using magnetic nano-hydrometallurgy received considerable attention as far as sustainable mining is concerned due to some fascinating properties of magnetic nanoparticles. The Nano-CeNTRE is currently exploring the potential uses of magnetic nanoparticles for the recovery of precious metals using green solvents.
