Following the mini talks, Dr. Paz joined an interactive workshop with international participants to develop innovative conservation education strategies and explore opportunities for adapting outreach approaches across different institutional and ecological contexts. The activity fostered knowledge exchange, interdisciplinary collaboration, and potential partnerships among conservation educators and researchers worldwide.
A significant outcome of the conference was the establishment of new international collaborations. ๐๐ฟ. ๐๐ฟ๐๐ฒ๐บ๐ถ๐ ๐๐ฟ๐ป๐ฒ๐๐ of the University of Montpellier, workshop organizer and Dr. Pazโs host, expressed interest in future collaborative initiatives involving conservation education and scientific publications. The program will support the creation of research-based educational modules using innovative teaching approaches and digital learning tools.
This opportunity aligns with the proposed MATSING-Skwela Project, which aims to develop localized learning modules on humanโmacaque coexistence and conservation for elementary and secondary learners in Sumile, Butuan City.
ATBC 2026 served as a valuable platform for global knowledge exchange, strengthening partnerships among scientists and educators committed to advancing tropical biodiversity conservation. Through these emerging collaborations, Dr. Paz continues to contribute to innovative research, education, and extension initiatives toward a more sustainable future for biodiversity.
