The Science, Technology, Environment, and Mathematics Society under College of Education oversees the seminar on Technology against Waste and Pollution with guest speakers Mr. Herbert C. De Jesus and Mr. Rommel V. Eguia.

This seminar will serve as an inspiration to educate and empower students for change as environmental problems are relevant issues of today, promoting awareness, understanding, and initiative for action.

Remember, you matter. Your story matters. And most of all, your life matters.

This National Su***de Prevention day, the Science, Technology, Environment, and Mathematics Society (STEMS) aims to be one of the voices to promote awareness, empathy, and hope among students who may be deeply struggling in silence. Let this day be a reminder that sometimes, all we need is one conversation, a listening ear, or a kind word to make a meaningful difference in our lives.

As students and future educators, may we never lose the drive in creating a community where every member feels heard, seen, and valued, no matter our unique differences. Together, we can make someone’s day better by spreading hope, and to building an environment that truly cares.

A walk together for peace, unity, respect, and understanding.🌱

The College of Education, together with STEMS, SAEE, SAMAPA, and the English Club, joined in a meaningful unity walk that demonstrated solidarity and shared commitment to building a community rooted in peace, respect, unity, and understanding.

It is more than just a simple walk together, it is an activity that reminds us that as future educators and members of one community, we have a role in creating an environment where everyone feels respected, valued, and included.

All it takes is one walk, one community, to having a shared commitment to peace and unity. 💚

Happening Now | Unity Walk 🕊️

The College of Education in collaboration with English Club, SAMAPA, SAEE, and STEMS Club, conducts a Unity Walk to promote peace, unity, respect, and understanding among students.

More than a simple walk, this activity serves as a reminder that as future educators, we have the responsibility to foster a community where everyone feels respected, heard, and valued. And as we prepare to guide others someday, we should also remember to protect our own peace, take care of ourselves, and choose understanding when life gets difficult.

Together, let us walk not only with one another, but also toward a future built on peace, compassion, and unity mga Katangkay! 🍀

PAMANTAYAN PARA SA LATIN HONORS

Ang Latin Honors ay pagkilalang iginagawad sa mga mag-aaral na nagtataglay ng natatanging academic performance sa kanilang pag-aaral. Sa ilalim ng bagong pamantayan, nakabatay ang pagkilala sa itinakdang General Weighted Average (GWA) at mga kinakailangang marka para sa bawat antas—Summa Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, at Cum Laude.

Para sa 1st hanggang 3rd year, itinakda ang GWA na 1.00–1.25 para sa Summa Cum Laude, 1.26–1.50 para sa Magna Cum Laude, at 1.51–1.75 para sa Cum Laude, kalakip ang minimum grade requirement na 1.25, 1.50, at 1.75, ayon sa kaukulang Latin Honor. Para naman sa 4th hanggang 6th year, nananatili ang parehong GWA range, ngunit kinakailangang walang grade na 2.75 o mas mababa sa anumang kurso.

Sa likod ng mga numerong ito ay ang iba't ibang karanasan ng mga estudyanteng patuloy na nagsusumikap para sa kanilang mga pangarap. Para sa ilan, maaaring manatili ang pagkakataong makamit ang Latin Honors; para sa iba, maaaring nagbago na ang landas dahil sa mga bagong pamantayan.

Kaya naman, kumusta ang iyong kalagayan sa ilalim ng bagong pamantayan? Ibahagi sa comment section ang iyong karanasan—kung nananatili ka mang kwalipikado, o kung may naging dahilan o hadlang na nakaapekto sa iyong qualification.

Hindi lamang mahalagang malaman kung sino ang pasok sa pamantayan. Mahalaga ring marinig ang kuwento ng mga hindi na nakapagtutugon dito. Sa pamamagitan ng inyong mga saloobin, mas mabibigyang-linaw kung paano nararanasan ng mga BASCIAN ang pagbabagong ito.

For Every Teacher Who Keeps Showing Up

Education is a shared responsibility. As the saying goes, "It takes a village to raise a child". Hindi dapat pasan ng isang g**o lamang ang bigat ng pagtuturo, paghubog, at pag-aalaga sa kinabukasan ng mga mag-aaral.

Kaya sa halip na maliitin o kuwestiyunin natin ang pagkatao at halaga ng mga g**o, piliin nating igalang, suportahan, at ipagtanggol sila. Hindi rin makatarungang isisi sa mga g**o ang bawat karahasan na nangyayari sa loob ng paaralan.

Teachers can guide, discipline, and do their best to keep their students safe, but they cannot control every decision a student makes. They are not perfect, but they deserve to be recognized for the patience, sacrifices, and dedication they give every day.

Hindi madaling maging g**o, lalo na sa panahong napakaraming hamon ang kailangang harapin sa loob at labas ng silid-paaralan.

Let us remember the educators who continue to show up, teach with purpose, and care for their learners despite everything.

Because teaching is not a responsibility teachers should carry alone. Education is a shared responsibility, and supporting our teachers should be, too.
