DepEd Region III finds no sufficient evidence to support allegations of plagiarism in 2026 RSPC Collaborative Desktop Publishing Category

The Department of Education Regional Office III as per Resolution No. 20 s. 2026 ruled in favor of the Schools Division Office of San Jose del Monte, finding that the alleged plagiarism in the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) Collaborative Desktop Publishing category was not supported by sufficient evidence. The investigation concluded that the winning entry merely drew heavy inspiration from publicly accessible benchmarking materials and visual references commonly shared online, and that no intentional plagiarism or deliberate copying was established.

As stated in the Resolution, the allegations were found to be not supported by sufficient evidence, affirming the validity and integrity of the results of the competition.

The Schools Division Office expresses its appreciation to the Department of Education Regional Office III for conducting a fair and thorough evaluation of the concerns raised and for upholding the principles of due process, transparency, and academic integrity.

SDO San Jose del Monte City remains steadfast in its commitment to promoting responsible and ethical campus journalism and recognizes the dedication, hard work, and creativity demonstrated by student journalists, school paper advisers, and coaches who continue to uphold excellence in the field.
