After a thorough evaluation of the SPJ Qualifying Examination and Interview, we are proud to announce the Top 31 qualifiers who have successfully earned their slots in the Special Program in Journalism (SPJ) at Liliw National High School for School Year 2026–2027.

𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐚 𝐖𝐫𝐚𝐩!

A total of 35 applicants moved forward to the interviewing portion of the Special Program in Journalism Qualifying Examination (SPJQE), which accounts for 30% of their score.

Each applicant, alongside their parent and/or guardian underwent a face-to-face interview, to test and assess the aspiring SPJians’ skill on communication expressed through speaking.

🔹 Only those who took the SPJ Qualifying Exam are eligible for the interview.

🔹 Bring your SF9 (Report Card) as part of the requirements.
🔹 Be on time and come prepared to express yourself confidently.

𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗡𝗢𝗪 | March 28, 2026, the Special Program in Journalism commenced its qualifying examination for Student Batch 2026-2027.

Students from different schools gather to grab a chance to be part of the Special Program.

The activity is spearheaded by SPJ Coordinator Abigail P. Asunto, under the supervision of School Principal Laurel N. Panaglima, and in coordination with the Head Teacher in English, Romneilee M. Villanueva. Examinees are carefully monitored and guided throughout the process to ensure a smooth and orderly administration of the test.

The event is further supported by SPJ Society Officers, Azzy Mykhail P. Asunto and Judilyn M. Lazarte, who assist in facilitating the activity.

𝗦𝗣𝗝𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗣𝗝 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲! 💚

𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗶𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗺 (𝗦𝗣𝗝) 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 at Liliw National High School successfully concluded yesterday, gathering SPJians in a day filled with different journalism competitions that showcased their skills, creativity, and passion for campus journalism.

Throughout the event, students participated in various individual and group contests, demonstrating their knowledge and abilities in different fields of journalism. Activities allowed young campus journalists to sharpen their skills, exchange ideas, and celebrate responsible and meaningful storytelling.

An awarding ceremony marked the culmination of the festival, recognizing outstanding performances of participants. Winners in different categories received certificates and medals in recognition of their dedication and effort. Participation and enthusiasm from all SPJians made the celebration even more meaningful.

Sincere gratitude is extended to SPJ Coordinator 𝗠𝗮’𝗮𝗺 𝗔𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗣. 𝗔𝘀𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗼, all school paper advisers, SPJ Society officers, and facilitators whose guidance and support made the festival possible. Special appreciation is also given to all SPJians who actively took part and contributed to the success of the event.

𝗦𝗣𝗝 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 highlighted importance of journalism in developing critical thinking, responsible communication, and media literacy among students, leaving participants with valuable experiences and inspiration to continue their journey in campus journalism.
