Borongan City welcomes the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary this September 8 with streets adorned with colorful banderitas and homes preparing their handa for the occasion.

Amid the festive preparations, the community comes together in prayer, thanksgiving, and celebration, honoring the birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the faith that continues to unite generations.

๐‡๐ˆ๐†๐‡๐‹๐ˆ๐†๐‡๐“ | Criminology alumni from the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) of ESSU-Main Campus once again brought home honor as they placed the college on the 8th podium in the national level on category D for the recently broadcasted results for the August 2026 Criminologists Licensure Examination (CLE).

An astounding 33 passers of 38 takers were registered by the college, garnering them an 86.84% passing rate.

The college and this publication is proud of the milestone that our newly Registered Criminologists (RCrim) has reached. Congratulations, once again to our 33 new RCrim.

The stalls offer a wide range of items โ€” from colorful balloons, delicious snacks, shiny jewelry, handmade trinkets, and even crocheted flowers. As the city fiesta fast approaches, these small businesses add color and energy along Baybay Boulevard, turning the streets into a lively hub of activity and commerce.

Criminology Marshals were on duty during the Civic-Military Parade on September 6, 2026, in celebration of the upcoming Borongan City Fiesta.

Composed of 11 members, the team were on formation earlier this morning for the dissemination of their tasks from their team leader.

The marshals took part in maintaining an organized and orderly flow of the parade for the faculty and staff of Eastern Samar State University - Main Campus.

Faculty and staff of the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) were present early this morning for the Civic-Military Parade held today, September 6, 2026 as part of the Borongan City Fiesta celebration.

The group was headed by their College Dean, Dr. Eleazar S. Balbada and with criminology student representatives bearing the college's tarpaulin displaying the newly Registered Criminologists who recently passed the August 2026 Criminologists Licensure Examination.

Criminology students of the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) conducted their tradition, Friday exercise and Clean-up Drive on September 4 and August 28, 2026.

Attended by 1st to 4th year criminology students, the physical workout transpired in the early mornings and was followed by a general clean-up drive around the criminology department grounds.
