Boot National High School successfully conducted a Learning Action Cell (LAC) Session on August 4, 2026, facilitated by Sir Allan Andrew Gono, Master Teacher I. The session focused on the ILAW Framework and its application in designing purposeful, learner-centered lessons that lead to meaningful learning outcomes.

The session opened with a pre-test, followed by an in-depth discussion of the key provisions of DepEd Order No. 16, s. 2026, which establishes updated policy standards, implementation directions, and systematic mandates supporting the MATATAG Agenda and the delivery of quality basic education.

Key Highlights included the importance of learner-centered, evidence-based, flexible, inclusive, collaborative, and reflective teaching practices. The session also emphasized quality instruction through effective pedagogy and formative assessment, as well as teacher empowerment through professional development, collaboration, coaching, mentoring, and instructional leadership.

A significant part of the discussion focused on the paradigm shift from compliance to professional judgment, rigid to flexible practices, teacher-centered to learner-centered instruction, and paperwork to meaningful learning design.

Through the ILAW Framework, teachers were guided in crafting impactful lessons anchored on clear learning goals, scaffolding, checks for understanding, self-awareness and metacognition, social learning, values and purpose integration, and inclusion.

The session served as a meaningful opportunity for teachers to reflect, collaborate, and strengthen their instructional practices—because meaningful learning begins with intentional teaching and impactful lesson design.

Sa pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika, ating pahalagahan ang Wikang Filipino bilang daluyan ng kaalaman, kultura, at pagkakakilanlan ng bawat Pilipino. Sa panahon ng makabagong teknolohiya at Artificial Intelligence (AI), higit nating mapapalawak ang pananaliksik at mapadadali ang pag-access sa yaman ng impormasyon habang patuloy na pinauunlad at ginagamit ang ating sariling wika.

📢 ADVISORY | SUSPENSION OF FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES

Due to the prevailing weather conditions, face-to-face classes at Boot National High School are suspended today to ensure the safety and well-being of all learners, and teaching personnel.

In accordance with DepEd Order No. 014, s. 2026, the school shall implement HINAY (Ease In) under the Learning Continuity Plan. Learning will continue through printed self-learning modules and/or digital learning platforms to ensure that educational activities remain uninterrupted despite weather-related disruptions.

Learners are advised to coordinate with their respective class advisers and subject teachers for learning tasks, schedules, and other important instructions.

The safety of everyone remains our highest priority. We encourage all members of the school community to stay indoors whenever possible, exercise caution, and monitor the official page of Boot National High School for the latest announcements and updates.
