Some people come into our lives as teachers, mentors, and colleagues—but somehow, they leave a mark that goes far beyond the lessons they teach. Sir Paul, you are one of those people.
As we look back on your journey with The Wave Web, we cannot help but feel deeply grateful for everything you have shared with us. You did not simply help build a school publication; you helped build young journalists, young dreamers, and young people who learned to believe in the power of their own voices.
To every campus journalist who had the privilege of working with you, you were more than a mentor. You were someone who encouraged us when we doubted ourselves, reminded us to keep going when things became difficult, and celebrated even the little victories that meant so much to us.
You taught us that journalism is not merely about writing stories. It is about truth, courage, compassion, responsibility, and giving a voice to those who need to be heard.
These are lessons that we will carry with us long after our time in the newsroom.
Perhaps someday, the names of the young journalists you guided will change. New faces will join The Wave Web, new stories will be written, and new chapters will unfold. But one thing will remain—the legacy you have planted in the hearts of every campus journalist you have touched.
Your words will echo in every story we write.
Your guidance will live on in every challenge we face.
And your belief in us will remain a quiet reminder that we are capable of more than we sometimes think.
Thank you, Sir Paul, for believing in us before we learned to believe in ourselves. Thank you for the time, patience, sacrifices, and heart you gave to The Wave Web.
You may be leaving a chapter, but you are certainly not leaving our hearts.
Wherever life takes you, please know that a part of your legacy will always remain here—with The Wave Web family and with every young journalist whose life you have touched.
We will always remember you. We will always be grateful for you. And we will always be proud to say that, once upon a time, we were guided by a mentor named Sir Paul. 💙
Thank you for being part of our story, Sir Paul. Your legacy lives on—in us.
With all our gratitude,
