A Day to Celebrate To Those Who Shaped Students Future Success

On October 3, 2025, the Supreme Secondary Learner Government of Cambansag High School held a program dedicated to teachers in celebration of Teacher’s Day. Students gave gifts, cards, and flowers to show their appreciation for their teachers. Though simple, these gestures reflected the students’ effort, love, and gratitude toward their mentors.

To liven up the atmosphere, the Cambansag High School Dance Troupe and SSLG officers prepared dances and games for the teachers to express their love and deep appreciation. The whole afternoon was filled with laughter and joy as everyone participated in the program. The highlight of the celebration was seeing the teachers laugh and cry with happiness because of the surprises prepared by the students.

In the end, respect and love are the greatest gifts we can offer to our teachers—no material thing can compare to the genuine love and respect we give them.

Proud Finish: San Isidro Clinches Silver in SACLINSI Basketball Game

INABANGA, BOHOL — September 20, 2025. The Sub-congressional basketball tournament at Saint Paul Academy drew crowds last Saturday as districts clashed for basketball supremacy.

In the opening game, San Isidro District faced Sagbayan in a tight battle. Despite Sagbayan’s height advantage, San Isidro held their ground. With just 19 seconds left, team coach Vincent Louie Bañoc Ponte—who handled the boys throughout the tournament—called a crucial timeout that set up the final play. The players delivered, scoring in the closing moments to secure a 68-66 win and a ticket to the finals.

The championship showdown was against host Inabanga. The home team used their crowd energy and steady ex*****on in the final quarter to hold off San Isidro’s rallies. The game ended 59-53, with Inabanga defending their crown and San Isidro finishing as runner-up.

San Isidro’s line-up was a collaboration between Cambansag High School and San Isidro National High School (SINHS), with three SINHS players stepping up and contributing significantly.

Coach Mrs. Josie Ann Ambe Asoy shared her pride as a first-time coach.

“Grabee kakulba! As a first-time coach, I cannot put into words how proud and thankful I am for our players. Despite the scorching heat during practices and the exhaustion they felt, they never gave up and pushed through for the team. Our 2nd place finish is not just an award, but it is a symbol of our hard work, unity, and family spirit. To our mayor, parents, and school heads, supporters, thank you for giving us the strength and encouragement to keep going. Even if we didn’t take the top spot, for me, you will always be champions in my heart. This is just the beginning, and greater victories are waiting for us," Ms. Ambe said.

Chaperone Ms. Lorelyn P. Restificar also reflected on the intense moments and resilience of the team.

“What I really felt during the game was an unending kakulba. From the start pa lang, we were already behind in the first quarter, but nalipay ko kay we managed to recover in the middle of the game. Akong kakulba doubled in the last quarter kay dikit kaayo ang score. When there were only 50 seconds left and the other team was ahead by 4 points, abi nako wala na ta’y chance. But thankfully, gikaloy-an ta and we still fought hard for the championship. Bisan wala ta naka-kuha sa title, I’m truly grateful and happy sa performance sa atong mga players, naningkamot gyud sila. Mga mamaw buyag hehe,” Ms. Restificar added.

Team Coach Vincent Louie Bañoc Ponte, who handled the boys on the court, expressed excitement and pride, emphasizing perseverance and pride in their achievement.

Sa championship game excited napud ko kay syempre another chance napud naku this year as a coach nga makuha gyud ang championship sa sub-cong but I was a little bit disappointed and sad kay wala gihapon namo nakuha ang gold medal this year. But then I was thankful to all the players for giving their best until the end of the championship game. I am proud of them as they are really eager to win the gold medal. I know that they are really disappointed and sad of the outcome, but then in every game, naa gyud modaug ug naay mapildi. And also they should be proud of their selves for reaching in the sub congressional meet and for getting the 2nd place. My message for them is that they should keep on playing the game that they love. Time will come, ang San Isidro District napud ang paboran," Mr. Ponte said.

On the other hand, the team captain, Brian Talingting, as well expressed his sentiments after the game.

Ganahan unta mi maka daog tungod kay first time namo naka uban sa Sub-congressional meet.

In closing, the San Isidro District team expressed their gratitude to all who supported their journey. They extended thanks to Municipal Mayor Dadz Naraga Gementiza, school heads Ma’am Josesa Jaculba and Sir Olim, and their staff—Coach Josie Ann Ambe Asoy, Assistant Coach Vincent Louie Bañoc Ponte, and Chaperone Ma’am Lorelyn Pojadas Restificar—for their leadership and dedication. They also acknowledged the unwavering encouragement from teachers, parents, and the wider community. For the team, earning 2nd Place Overall was not just a victory for the players but for the whole district of San Isidro.

San Isidro walked away as silver medalists, while Inabanga retained the championship title in this year’s SACLINSI Subcongressional Meet basketball event. San Isidro is beyond proud of your achievements, boys! Thank you for your dedication to our district!

✨Overall Intramurals Champions 2025
🥇 Emerald Vipers (Green) – Overall Champion
🥈 Amber Flames (Yellow) – Second Place
🥉 Ruby Blazers (Red) – Third Place

The two-day Intramurals concluded with resounding cheers and proud smiles, as the Emerald Vipers claimed the overall championship, followed by the Amber Flames in second place and the Ruby Blazers in third. Beyond the medals and trophies, the event stood as a celebration of camaraderie, discipline, and school spirit, where every athlete, dancer, and performer proved that true victory lies not only in winning but also in teamwork, resilience, and unity. Some athletes from teams that didn’t make it to the top smiled and said, “Okay lang uy, maka bawi pa ta next time.” or “Naa pay next time!” — showing that the true spirit of Intramurals is never lost.

Intramurals 2025 truly lived up to its theme, “Revealing the Champion that Sparks Within Through Sports,” leaving every participant inspired to carry the lessons of sportsmanship and determination far beyond the playing fields of Cambansag High School. This wouldn't be successful without the supervision and support coming from the Sports Coordinator, Mrs. Raniel Louie Anne L. Bastasa, and the School-In Charge, Mrs. Josesa G. Jaculba.
