Today, we joyfully celebrate the 164th Arrival Anniversary of the Congregation of the Mission and the Daughters of Charity in the Philippines.

May their enduring Vincentian mission continue to inspire us to serve with faith, compassion, and love. 💙🤍

🎊Happy Arrival Anniversary🎊
Let us celebrate today the 164th Arrival Anniversary of the Congregation of the Mission (CM) and the Daughters of Charity (DC) of Saint Vincent de Paul in the Philippines 🥳🎉🇵🇭

"At exactly 8:00 in the morning of July 22, 1862, 19 members of the Vincentian family – fifteen Daughters of Charity, two Priests of the Mission and two Vincentian brothers – came down from the boat “Concepcion” after more than three months of difficult travel at sea. One can only imagine how hard travel was in those days. The CMs and DCs were accommodated in the lower chamber of the ship. In present inter-island boat travels, this is equivalent to the economy class. That is manageable if we travel only for several days but not for journeys spanning several months. For those of us who are used to travel by boat, we know that the lower chamber is the most difficult place to stay – there is poor ventilation; the rocking of the boat can be strongly felt here; it is also dark and very warm. Their diaries would tell us that two Vincentians suffered from stomach trouble or headache during almost the whole trip. But one Recollect gave in; he died and had to be buried at sea just days before they reached the Manila waters. One day, a Daughter of Charity, was thrown down, rolled over the ship floor, when the ship rocked through big waves. She was not hurt; thanks be to God. Some other things happened – a sudden fire broke out, thanks to the blankets, it was extinguished; in another day, the main sail was also blown away by some big waves. On the other hand, some also celebrated their birthdays there or enjoyed beautiful liturgical celebrations from Holy Week to May Marian devotions to the feast of the Sacred Heart – which also corresponded to their months of travel – March to July of 1862."

Your CMSP Family is one with you on this very special day of your congregation. Many more God-filled years to come!
😇🙏

Parents' Orientation on ESC and SHS Voucher Assistance Programs

On July 4, 2026, St. Louise de Marillac College of Bogo, Cebu, Inc. successfully conducted the Parents' Orientation on the Education Service Contracting (ESC) and Senior High School (SHS) Voucher Assistance Programs at the Holy Family Campus Covered Court. Led by the school administration, together with the Registrar and Accounting Offices, the orientation provided parents with essential information on the ESC and SHS Voucher Programs for School Year 2026–2027.

The activity also emphasized the school's commitment to supporting the implementation of the Education Service Contracting (ESC) Program under Republic Act No. 8545, while strengthening its partnership with parents in supporting every Louisean learner and promoting accessible, quality Vincentian education.

Equipping the Hands, Preparing the Heart

As we officially wrap up our pre-service orientation, these past two days have been a beautiful mix of learning practical skills and taking time for deep reflection.

On June 18, 2026, we spent an exciting and active day learning how to handle emergencies during a safety and Basic Life Support training with our local Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP). Through various hands-on activities, lectures, and group demonstrations, the team gained essential skills in fire safety and life-saving first aid.

Shifting from teamwork and action, June 19, 2026, was dedicated entirely to a peaceful, whole-day recollection for the Lay Mission Partners of St. Louise de Marillac College of Bogo, centered on the theme “Anchored in Christ, Artisans of Hope.” Guided by Rev. Fr. Ramon Ofredo, participants reflected on deepening their relationship with Christ, faithfully living out their commitment to God, and becoming bearers of hope in their communities. Through reflection-sharing activities, they exchanged personal insights and experiences that strengthened both their faith and sense of unity as they prepared for the new academic year. The day also included a reflection on the Sacrament of Reconciliation, inviting everyone to embrace God’s mercy and forgiveness, and concluded with the celebration of Holy Mass, during which participants renewed their commitment to God and entrusted the coming school year to His guidance and grace.

From learning how to protect our community to taking a moment to look inward, these two days have truly prepared us to move forward with confidence and passion. Ready for the next chapter!
