With hearts full of gratitude and hope, the Secondary Pre-Service Teachers held their Thanksgiving Mass last January 4, 2026, at Boac Cathedral โ€“ Immaculate Conception Parish, presided over by Rev. Fr. Ian Retardo. This was followed by the Elementary Pre-Service Teachersโ€™ Thanksgiving Mass on January 6, 2026, at Holy Cross Parish, led by Rev. Fr. Martin Puertollano Jr.

The celebrations were attended by the CoEd Faculty and Pre-Service Teachers, emphasizing the reminder that โ€œyou cannot give what you do not haveโ€โ€”a call to preparation, dedication, and commitment to the teaching vocation.

This gathering marks the 16th Pre-Service Teachersโ€™ Investiture 2026 โ€“ Part 1: Thanksgiving Mass, a meaningful milestone in the journey of our future educators.

โ€ŽThe College of Education continues its Field Study Monitoring across various schools in the province where Field Study students are deployed, led by Mrs. Maria Victoria Miciano, together with the area coordinators, Mrs. Bernadette Del Prado (Area Coordinator โ€“ Social Studies) and Mrs. Mergiecelyn Quezada (Area Coordinator โ€“ BEEd).

Under the supervision of Mrs. Maria Victoria Miciano, ELC Supervisor, the remaining five BSEd Field Study Students were assigned to MarSU-Integrated High School, where Dr. Noel Palomares acts as both the Principal and the Coordinator for BSEd Mathematics majors.

Meanwhile, the first batch of BEEd pre-service teachers began their deployment at Dolores Elementary School, Aturan Elementary School, Santa Cruz North Central School, and Ipil Elementary School. The second batch followed, assigned to Gabaldon Elementary School, Santa Cruz South Central School, Santa Cruz East Central School, Buyabod Elementary School, Matalaba Elementary School, Tawiran Elementary School, and Makapuyat Elementary School.

The deployment was led by Mrs. Mergiecelyn R. Quezada, BEEd Experiential Learning Coordinator, together with Dr. Susan B. Pineda, Associate Dean and Program Head, along with BEEd faculty members Dr. Annalyn J. Decena and Mr. Amelito R. Zulueta.

Warm hospitality awaited the faculty and pre-service teachers as the principals and staff of the partner schools graciously welcomed them into their institutions.
