EX: I worked 12 hours today. I'm exhausted.

"raining cats and dogs" - an idiom which means it is raining heavily or there is a downpour

EX: Classes were suspended because it is raining cats and dogs outside.

A Basic Subject-Verb Agreement.

a singular subject - requires a singular verb
a plural subject - requires a plural verb

EXAMPLES:
She plays at the park.
singular subject - singular verb

They play at the park.
plural subject - plural verb

Grammar Rule: In questions, "did" is followed by the subject and the base form of the main verb.

Incorrect: What did you ate?
Correct: What did you eat?

pet peeve - something that annoys or bothers a person very much

EX: People cutting in line is one of my pet peeves.

ME: What is your pet peeve?
Student: I have a pet. My dog is a poodle.
ME: 😳 (patiently repeated the meaning and explained with another example)
