In celebration of A.P Month, Ladder of Gems Academy recently launched an exciting pageant event that saw students from grades 4-10 come together to represent different countries in their own version of Miss and Mister United Nations 2025. Under the expert guidance of pageantry coach Ms. Ejelvee R. Aรฑis, these young participants are learning valuable skills in posing, walking, and stage presence.

The event aims to promote cultural awareness, confidence, and public speaking skills among the students. As they prepare to strut their stuff on stage, the young diplomats are not only showcasing their countries but also embodying the values of unity, diversity, and friendship.

The pageant is a testament to the academy's commitment to providing holistic education and fostering the growth and development of its students. As the big day approaches, the excitement is palpable, and we wish all the participants the very best of luck!

Event Details:

Date: October 24, 2025

Come and show your support for these talented young individuals as they shine on stage and celebrate the spirit of unity and diversity!

As a teacher, one of the most heartbreaking realities is not just the challenges from our students but sometimes from our very own colleagues. Instead of lifting each other up, some choose to shame, humiliate, or gossip about fellow teachers. This behavior does not only wound the person but also weakens the very foundation of respect we are trying to build in our students.

We remind our learners daily about kindness, respect, and teamwork, yet how can we expect them to live by these values if we fail to practice them ourselves? A teacher deserves dignity, not ridicule. Behind every lesson plan and every lecture is a human being carrying unseen struggles and silent battles. What we need is support, not shaming.

Respect among colleagues creates a healthier school environment. A teacher who feels valued can inspire more, teach better, and serve with greater passion. On the other hand, constant shaming only breaks confidence and poisons the spirit of collaboration.

So let us stop shaming teachers. Let us stop the gossip, the whispers, and the humiliation. Instead, let us build each other up. Because when we respect one another, we not only become better teachers, we also become truer examples of the very lessons we want our students to learn.

Raising awareness among our learners about the harmful effects of using racist or racial slurs โ€” particularly the N-word, which has sadly been used repeatedly in conversations among students.

As an institution that upholds respect, empathy, and inclusivity, it is vital that we educate our learners on the weight and history behind such language. This initiative aims not to shame but to inform and guide our learners toward building a safe, respectful, and equitable environment for all.
