We often associate Valentine’s Day with chocolates, flowers, or extravagant gifts. But have you ever wondered where it got its name?

Saint Valentine was a 3rd‑century Roman saint commemorated on February 14, hence the name Valentine’s Day. He is believed to have been a bishop of Terni who was martyred for refusing to renounce Christianity. By the Middle Ages, he was venerated as the patron saint of love and happy marriages.

May we always express our deep love to ourselves, our friends, our families, and to Christ.
