In today's rapidly changing environment, students are navigating not only academic demands but also broader societal challenges, including economic uncertainties, political tensions, public safety concerns, natural disasters, and other unpredictable events that can contribute to heightened stress and anxiety. These circumstances can affect emotional well-being, concentration, motivation, and the ability to cope with everyday responsibilities.

In this 1.5-hour talk, participants will gain a better understanding of anxiety, including its signs, symptoms, triggers, and effects on the mind and body. Through guided reflection, students will explore their own stress responses and coping strategies while developing greater self-awareness. The webinar will also introduce practical self-regulation techniques to help manage anxiety in academic and everyday situations, strengthen resilience, and support overall well-being in university life.

The Counseling Services Unit (CSU) of Senior High School – The Academy, Laguna Campus, in partnership with the SHS Safe Haven Club, presents UNBOXED: Discovering the Real You, a live podcast-style learning session. Aligned with the University’s Mission-Vision Week Celebration and supporting SDGs 3 and 4, the program aims to promote self-awareness, personal growth, and positive youth development among students. Through authentic conversations, personal stories, reflective activities, and expert insights, participants will explore their strengths, values, emotions, and aspirations to better understand themselves and make intentional life choices. The session will feature SHS students Isabel Rafaela Santos and Raymond Gallega, faculty member Ms. Isabel Anne Alano, and guest speaker Mr. Francis Ray D. Subong, an educational leader and mental health advocate with extensive local and international experience.
