We're thrilled to announce that Tina Flor Amando, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management, has been selected as one of the first batch recipients of the prestigious Hotel and Restaurant Association of Baguio (HRAB) Scholarship Program through IFEX. This incredible achievement was celebrated alongside scholars from other HRAB member institutions during 2024 at the Cameron Forbes Ballroom, Baguio Country Club. Kneading a Brighter Future: Balococ Women Gain Baking Skills

Itogon, Benguet โ€“ May 15, 2024 - The women of Balococ, Dalupirip, Itogon, Benguet were given an opportunity to enhance their skills and improve their livelihoods through a specially organized training program. This initiative was led by Dr. Angeline Bugtong in collaboration with the College of Business Management.

The program focused on teaching the participants how to prepare and bake traditional Filipino bread, including Pan de Sal and Spanish Bread. The CBM faculty provided comprehensive training, sharing their expertise and practical skills in baking. The event was met with great enthusiasm and eagerness to learn by the women of Balococ.

The College of Business Management aims to continue such initiatives, recognizing the significant impact of skill development programs on local communities. This program is part of a broader effort to empower women and promote economic development in rural areas.

Participants not only gained technical baking skills but were also inspired by the potential economic opportunities these skills could bring. The newfound baking expertise is expected to pave the way for small-scale business ventures, contributing to the overall development and prosperity of Balococ.

CBM Class of 2024 Celebrates Triumphs in Tribute at KCP Function Hall

The CBM Class of 2024 joins educators in a celebration of achievements, organized by the CBM-Student Body Organization with third-year Hospitality Management students adding flair, the event highlights collaboration and fosters gratitude and reflection at the KCP Function Hall last May 2, 2024.

Heartfelt speeches at the ceremony expressed deep appreciation for faculty members, acknowledging their pivotal role in shaping the journey of the graduating class. These educators were lauded for creating an environment conducive to both academic and personal growth. As the evening progressed, the spotlight shifted to the graduates, each embodying resilience and determination in the face of challenges. Tributes from peers and mentors highlighted the strong bonds and cherished memories formed during their time at CBM.

As the event neared its conclusion, amidst applause and heartfelt farewells, a profound sense of gratitude filled the air. This gratitude extended to the transformative power of education, the friendships nurtured, and the opportunities provided. Empowering Communication: CBM Enhances Speaking and Writing Skills

Aiming to equip the third and fourth year students of the College of Business Management, the Junior Managers Society initiated a seminar workshop with the theme โ€œDeveloping One's Communication Skills: A Training Workshop on Enhancing Speaking and Writing Skillsโ€, at the KCP Ebenezer Convention Center last April 25, 2024.

The organizer invited two speakers namely: Raphi Kamille M. Santa Ana, a Registered Psychometrician who gave a talk and insights on pre-employment tips where it includes the doโ€™s and donโ€™ts, proper behavior and attires during interview and general knowledge on resume writing. Cristito B. Dao- anis, CPA, a professional trainer or author extends the knowledge of his expertise about workshop on enhancing speaking and writing skills which includes a proper writing of resume, cover letter and communication skills.

Throughout the day, participants engaged in interactive workshop sessions led by Cristito B. Dao-anis, a communication expert. Attendees had the invaluable opportunity to practice their newly acquired skills through various exercises and group activities, fostering a supportive and enriching learning environment.

The workshop allows participants to manage writing their own resume, cover letter, proper dressing and answering interviews.
