Class suspension for tomorrow, Aug. 20

. Pursuant to the directive of Office of the President through Memorandum Circular No. 131, Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas said that face-to-face classes in all levels, both public and private, are still suspended on Thursday, August 20.

According to the Memorandum, schools shall implement appropriate alternative learning modalities and other learning continuity measures, as may be feasible, to ensure that learning activities continue while face-to-face classes are suspended.

Schools are encouraged to implement appropriate alternative learning modalities and other learning continuity measures, as may be feasible, to ensure that learning activities continue while face-to-face classes are suspended.

TNHS celebrates 58th Founding Anniversary, opens Intramurals 2026

Tuba National High School (TNHS) officially launched its 58th Foundation Day celebration and Intramurals 2026 on July 31, bringing together administrators, teachers, staff, learners, and stakeholders in a day marked by thanksgiving, unity, and school spirit.

The celebration began with a Thanksgiving Mass presided over by Fr. Rev. Seraph M. Balmadres, who encouraged the TNHS community to remain steadfast in faith, gratitude, and service. The Eucharistic celebration served as an opportunity for the school community to reflect on the institution's milestones and express gratitude for the blessings and achievements that have shaped TNHS through the years.

Following the Mass, the school formally opened Intramurals 2026, with Sir Joeward Abance, UB Cardinal Swimming Coach, serving as the guest speaker. In his message, he inspired student-athletes to compete with integrity, discipline, and teamwork, emphasizing that the true essence of sports lies not only in winning but also in building character and camaraderie.

One of the highlights of the opening ceremony was the lighting of the torch by Regine Nonan, symbolizing the official start of the games. Meanwhile, Rodelyn Nonan, together with Ciara Tumpao, led the Oath of Sportsmanship, where participants pledged to uphold fairness, respect, and excellence throughout the competition.

The Oath of Technical Officials was then administered to the teachers and officials who will oversee the different sporting events, reaffirming their commitment to officiate the games with fairness, impartiality, and integrity.

The program also featured colorful ground demonstrations from Grade 7 to Grade 12, showcasing the students' creativity, coordination, and school pride. The activity was coordinated by Sir Orlie L. Peter. Grade 9 (Blue Warriors) emerged as the champion, followed by Grade 12 (Pink Dragons) in second place and Grade 10 (Gryffindor) in third. Grade 7 (Green Mantis) placed fourth, Grade 11 (Ube Panthers) finished fifth, while Grade 8 (Yellow Vipers) placed sixth.

The Intramurals 2026 is being spearheaded by Sir Joey C. Palongyas, who oversees the planning and implementation of the month-long sports program in collaboration with teachers, coaches, and student leaders.

The intramurals will run until August 21, with sporting events scheduled daily from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Through the annual event, TNHS aims to strengthen camaraderie, sportsmanship, discipline, and holistic development among learners while celebrating another year of the school's commitment to quality education and community building.

The Department of Education (DepEd) has issued DepEd Order No. 014, s. 2026, establishing guidelines to ensure learning continues during emergencies such as natural disasters and public health crises.

The order requires schools to prepare Learning Continuity Plans, adopt flexible learning modalities based on local conditions, and prioritize the safety and well-being of learners and school personnel. It also encourages coordination with local government units to minimize disruptions and ensure uninterrupted access to education.

Tuba National High School Clinches Championship in Inter-School Rescuelympics 2026 First Aid Challenge

TUBA, Benguet — Tuba National High School (TNHS) emerged as the Champion in the Inter-School Rescuelympics 2026: First Aid Challenge which was organized by the Tuba Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) as part of the municipality's observance of National Disaster Resilience Month.

The competition brought together four secondary schools in Tuba, providing students with an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge, teamwork, and life-saving skills in various emergency response scenarios. Participants competed in a series of challenging events, including bandaging, splinting, knot tying, adult CPR, infant CPR, spine board management, quiz bee, and emergency carries. These activities tested not only the students' technical abilities but also their readiness to respond effectively during emergencies and disasters.

After an intense display of skill and determination, Tuba National High School secured the championship title, followed by Twin Peaks National High School in second place and Kiwas Integrated School in third place.

The victory reflects TNHS's commitment to disaster preparedness and the dedication of its students to developing essential emergency response competencies. Their outstanding performance was made possible through the guidance and training provided by TNHS Nurse and Emergency Response Team Adviser Ms. Florence F. Gam-ad, TNHS DRRM Coordinator Ms. Kimberly Jade S. Ostrea, and the support of the Barangay Nangalisan Sangguniang Kabataan, represented by Jhoyce Nicole R. Abance and of course kodus to the school principal, Ma'am Bivian B. Cuh- ing for the support she extended to the team.

Induction of classroom and school clubs for SY 2026–2027

On July 31, 2026, Tuba National High School officially inducted its newly elected classroom and school club officers for the School Year 2026–2027 during the school's flag-raising ceremony. The oath-taking was administered by Hon. Lee Burgen Tumpao, Barangay Captain, who encouraged the student leaders to lead with integrity, responsibility, and a genuine commitment to serving their fellow learners and the school community. Congratulations to all our newly inducted officers, and may you lead with excellence and purpose throughout the school year!

TNHS Batch 1992–1993 donates SHS fence

The Tuba National High School (TNHS) Batch 1992–1993 officially turned over a newly donated fence for the school's Senior High School campus on June 29, reaffirming its lasting commitment and support to its alma mater.

The project enhances the school's safety and security by providing a more secure and well-defined perimeter for students, teachers, and visitors. The right section of the fence was donated by Batch 1993, while the left section was donated by Batch 1992. The construction and installation of the fence were undertaken by Batch 1992, which also donated construction materials worth ₱6,000.

More than an infrastructure project, the newly installed SHS fence stands as a lasting symbol of unity, gratitude, and service, demonstrating the enduring bond between TNHS and its alumni.
