The KCP Basic Education Faculty and Administration actively participated in the 3rd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) 2026 held on September 10, 2026, at 2:00 PM.
The drill strengthened the school community’s awareness of earthquake preparedness, safety protocols, and proper emergency response. Through active participation, KCP continues to promote a culture of preparedness, safety, and resilience.

KCP Basic Education student-athletes proudly participated in the La Trinidad District Athletic Meet 2026 from September 7 to 9. The athletic represented KCP in various sports, including basketball, badminton, table tennis, lawn tennis, futsal, swimming, chess, and combative sports, showcasing discipline, sportsmanship, and excellence throughout the event.

“Wikang Filipino at AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay sa Yaman ng Impormasyon”
Sa patuloy na pag-unlad ng panahon at teknolohiya, nananatiling buhay at makapangyarihan ang Wikang Filipino bilang daluyan ng kaalaman, pagkakaisa, at pagkakakilanlan. Sa makabagong panahon ng Artificial Intelligence (AI), nagiging mahalagang kasangkapan ang wika sa pagpapalawak ng pananaliksik, pagpapadali ng pagkatuto, at pagbubukas ng mas malawak na daan tungo sa yaman ng impormasyon para sa bawat Pilipino.
Ngayong Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa 2026, inaanyayahan ng KCP Basic Education Department ang bawat Batang KCPIAN na makiisa sa pagdiriwang ng ating wika, kultura, at pagkakakilanlan. Sama-sama nating tuklasin kung paano nagiging tulay ang Wikang Filipino sa pagitan ng tradisyon at teknolohiya, ng nakaraan at hinaharap, at ng kaalaman tungo sa mas malawak na pag-unawa.

Mayor Roderick Awingan suspends face-to-face classes at ALL LEVELS, both public and private educational institutions, on August 4, 2026 (Tuesday), to ensure the safety and security of students from potential hazards brought about by the continuous moderate to heavy rains, strong winds, and compromised road conditions due to Tropical Depression .

Benguet is forecasted to experience 100-200 mm rainfall today (August 3,2026) until tomorrow afternoon (August 4, 2026), which may cause localized flooding and landslides in moderate to highly susceptible areas.

📢 FACE-TO-FACE CLASS SUSPENSION ANNOUNCEMENT
In accordance with Executive Order No. 112, s. 2026 issued by Mayor Roderick Awingan, face-to-face classes from Preschool to Senior High School in both public and private educational institutions are suspended today, August 3, 2026, effective 1:00 PM, due to the expected heavy rainfall brought by Tropical Cyclone Luis.
All students are advised to return home safely and avoid unnecessary travel. We encourage everyone to remain alert, observe safety precautions, and monitor official announcements for further updates.

This activity reinforces the importance of preparedness, safety awareness, and the proper response during emergencies. Through regular drills, we equip our school community with the knowledge and skills needed to stay calm, act responsibly, and protect one another when disasters occur.
