Matapos matuklasan ng mga Kastila ang lihim na samahang 𝑲𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒑𝒖𝒏𝒂𝒏, nagtipon si 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐁𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐨 at humigit-kumulang isang libong Katipunero sa Pugad Lawin. Kasama sa mga kilalang personalidad na kaugnay ng pangyayari sina 𝐄𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐨 𝐉𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨, 𝐏𝐢𝐨 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐳𝐮𝐞𝐥𝐚, at 𝐓𝐞𝐨𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐨 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐚, at iba pang mga anak ng bayan.

Doon, pinunit nila ang kanilang mga 𝘀𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗮—ang simbolo ng kanilang pagtanggi sa kolonyal na pamahalaan at ng kanilang pasiyang ipaglaban ang kalayaan.

Ang 𝑺𝒊𝒈𝒂𝒘 𝒏𝒈 𝑷𝒖𝒈𝒂𝒅 𝑳𝒂𝒘𝒊𝒏 ang naging mahalagang mitsa ng 𝗛𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝘀𝗶𝗸𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼—isang sandaling nagpatunay na kapag ang bayan ay nagkaisa, ang matagal na pananahimik ay maaaring maging isang sigaw na kayang baguhin ang kasaysayan. 🇵🇭

Because when we stand together, we don’t just shape tomorrow–we inspire it. ✨

The foundation of this regional alliance was established on August 8, 1967, in Bangkok, Thailand, by five founding members: Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand - a milestone that marked the beginning of regional cooperation, unity, and mutual development among Southeast Asian nations. Since then, the Philippines has proudly taken center stage as host of the ASEAN Summit in 1987, 1999, 2007, 2017, and right now in 2026! 🇵🇭

Upang maisagawa ang pambuwanang flag ceremony, nagtipon-tipon ang Saint Mary’s University Senior (SMUSHS) nang opisyal na mailunsad ang Buwan ng Wika, magantimpalaan ang mga Marialis Pons (MP) Campus Journalists (CJs), at mabigyang pakilala ang mga koponan sa Synergism 2026 na naganap sa Tonus Gymnasium, Agosto 14.

Nagsimula ang programa sa eukaristiyang selebrasyon na pinangunahan ni Rev. Fr. Nemesio Huesca, CICM, University Chaplain, at ang pagbisita ng first-class relic ni St. Francis of Assisi.

Sa pangunguna ng Senior High School Enthusiasts in Language and Literature (SHELL), binigyang-diin ng programa ang mga pangunahing layunin at iba’t ibang patimpalak na magaganap sa kabuuan ng buwan.

Sa temang “Wikang Filipino at AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay sa Yaman ng Impormasyon,” layunin ng kaganapan na mapaigting ang wikang Filipino sa pananaliksik.

Ginawaran ang mga nagtagumpay na CJs sa 2-araw na School-Based Press Conference na ginanap noong Hulyo 17-18 at sinundan ng pagkilala sa bagong Editorial Board ng MP.

Binigyang pakilala rin ng Sports Coordinator na si Mr. Scottie Cordero ang mga atletang nakapagkamit ng kagawaran sa larangan ng isports at palakasan.

Sinundan naman ito ng pagbibigay parangal para sa Best CHSF Implementer para sa Buwan ng Hulyo na pinangunahan ng STEM 12 St. Albert the Great, na sinundan naman ng STEM-Med 11 St. Raphael the Archangel, at ng ABM 12 St. Margaret of Clitherow.

Nagbigay naman ng unity dance ang kauna-unahang batch ng Special Interest Program - Dance.

Dagdag pa dito, ang mga koponan para sa Synergism 2026 ay ipinakilala sa programa na binubuo ng tatlong pangkat: Apolaki, Mayari, at Tala.

“Dapat gamitin ng lahat ang pagkakataong ito upang ipakita ang inyong mga kasanayan at talento.” ani Mr. Joshua Abraham, Coordinator for Student Activities, sa wikang Ingles.

Ang Synergism 2026 ay magaganap sa Setyembre 3-5 ngayong taon at ang pre-games ay magsisimula sa huling mga linggo ng Agosto.

LOOK | 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐮𝐫 ‘𝐖𝐡𝐲’: 𝐏𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐆𝐏𝐀𝐀𝐘 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

The annual leadership training PANAGPAAY 2026 was conducted on August 3-4 at the Aula Maria Hall with the theme: Igniting Leadership, Inspiring Lasting Impact.

Set to motion by the MCBS officers and adviser Mr. Joshua P. Abraham, all senior high school co-curricular and extra-curricular club officers gathered to learn the fundamentals of student leadership.

The activities throughout the two-day event built on the skills these leaders would need to manage events as the academic year proceeds. Beyond technical skills, they fostered reflection, compassion, and integrity in the face of difficulty, while showcasing the wide range of skills the Marian community had to offer.

The afternoon began with a series of icebreaker performances and warm-up activities before an insightful lecture on the definition of leadership and how to lead when one's leadership is put to the test, delivered by Mr. Isaac Divina, Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation President of the Municipal Local Government Unit of Solano and Board Director of the Region II National Movement of Young Legislators. This was followed by an open forum, where participants asked further questions about specific scenarios they might encounter.

Mr. Divina also placed a heavy emphasis on our ‘Why’ the unique reason each leader possesses that pushes them forward in spite of adversity and uncertainty. "Leadership is never measured during peace; it is measured during storms," he continued to highlight throughout his speakership.

The following day began in the morning with leaders settling in to witness a lecture on Project Management and event planning by Mr. Joel Espino, former Supreme College Council (SCC) President and founder of Espino Consortium Accounting, as students learned the key roles a leader can take and the importance of adapting when needed.

"What happens once is an event. What happens often is a habit. What endures for years becomes a lifestyle. And what you live long enough becomes your beingness," said Mr. Espino on how the qualities of being a good leader can be applied in our day-to-day lives.

That afternoon, officers and volunteers conducted the team building proper, a 6-station course where teams were timed in activities that tested their critical thinking, endurance, and creativity.

From cheer performances to hugs across the hall, the event achieved its goal of building an interconnected system of student leaders whose bonds will continue to shape Pamilya Senior High for the year to come.

The event closed with MCBS President Lymuel V. Jose delivering a final speech, reminding student leaders of the significance of their roles as their journey begins.

Look back at how the Tonus Gymnasium and CICM court roared to life as students sang and danced with all they had for the NUTRIHATAW and NUTRIJAM qualifying rounds.

Though shouts of triumph echoed and faded, the memories remain on the once-rumbling seats. May the lessons and memories of SMUSHS' celebration of Nutrition Month continue to nourish the minds, bodies, and spirits of Pamilya Senior High!

Pursuant to Proclamation No. 1371, the Office of the President has declared August 7, 2026 (Friday) as a Special (Non-Working) Day in the Municipality of Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya in celebration of its 7th Annual Town Fiesta!

As the Provincial Capital of Nueva Vizcaya, Bayombong is more than just the province's seat of government. It is home to the historic St. Dominic Cathedral, the breathtaking Bangan Hill National Park, Rich cultural traditions and colorful festivities, a vibrant community shaped by different ethnic groups living in harmony. Together, these make Bayombong a town where history, culture, and heritage continue to flourish.

The name "𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐧𝐠" traces its roots to the Gaddang word "𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐠."
It is believed to mean either:�𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒆𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒘𝒐 𝒐𝒓 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔, symbolizing connection and abundance; or 𝑨 𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒃𝒂𝒎𝒃𝒐𝒐 𝒕𝒖𝒃𝒆 used by early settlers to carry fresh water from wells along the riverbanks.
